R. Bot releases debut album 'Fly on Five'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The international composer of digital music known as R. Bot has released his debut full-length record, “Fly on Five.” The album is comprised of 12 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of one hour. Categorized variously online as Balearic, downtempo, EDM or simply electronica, R. Bot's latest official offering is a highly textured and creatively atmospheric album. “Fly on Five” recalls the very best of the mid-'90s electronic music underground scene, much of which flew beneath the mainstream radar for being far too ahead of its time.

R. Bot's “Fly on Five” constructs an alternate reality around the listener full of majesty and awe, suggesting stainless-steel environments and journeys through the cosmos without ever sounding silly or contrived. It has clear and powerful elements of the ambient subgenre, yet with clear structures and melodies. Its general composition is closer to classical music than the looped machinations of popular contemporary EDM, reminiscent of the subtle complexities of digital music before the turn of the millennium.

The explanation for this is that R. Bot's “Fly on Five” is a sonic time capsule, its tracks having been composed in the mid 1990s.

“Returning to the Netherlands in 1992 from having lived in Canada for eight-and-a-half years, I found it difficult to adjust to my new surroundings,” writes R. Bot. “Music served as a way to escape reality and allowed me to get back into my comfort zone.”

Using his first synthesizer, a Roland D50, and recording live on digital audio tape, R. Bot produced a bevy of compositions. His favorites from these make up the “Fly on Five” LP.

“I’ve continued making music and some artistic videos under the name Gholar Fix,” he writes. “Occasionally I have worked on projects outside my own, providing music or sound design on film projects. Recently, I decided to listen through my old recordings which I made in the nineties on DAT and pick out 12 tracks to remaster and release as a debut album named 'Fly on Five,' feeling I owed it to my past self not to let these tracks go to waste.”

Fans of digital music everywhere have very good reason to be glad for it. Get in early.

“Fly on Five” by R. Bot is available online worldwide beginning 1 February 2014.

Ethernaut releases new EP 'Strange Device'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The composer of electronic music known as Ethernaut has released his new EP record, “Strange Device.” The EP is comprised of five original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 20 minutes. A full, textured and extremely colorful album, “Strange Device” is a unique departure from mainstream electronic music in an era dominated by house and dubstep EDM, marking Ethernaut as one of the most creative artists in the digital music scene today.

Unlike the bulk of contemporary digital composers, who understandably cite popular artists such as Deadmau5 and David Guetta as musical inspirations, Ethernaut takes an entirely different tack. He writes that he gets his inspiration from, “The music of video games in all their many forms and platforms,” as well as from what he terms, “the old 'Demo Scene,' which coupled electronic music with computer graphics.”

While these may seem like unusual branches of music to focus on, they boast a contrasting quality that nearly every genre of music omits.

“I’ve always especially loved artists that blend two seemingly-unrelated genres,” writes Ethernaut.

The audio-visual art of demoscene pieces and video game soundtracks are not his only passions, however. He's also influenced by “a wide variety of rock and metal bands.” His official bio states that “Ethernaut combines the growls and bleeps of the mid-90s electronic demoscene with the spirit, energy, and aggression of heavier genres like rock and metal to produce a unique adrenalizing sound.”

Perhaps surprisingly, the result that Ethernaut's streak of individualism has had on “Strange Device” is clear, refreshing and natural without sounding forced or overwrought. It utilizes elements of early electronica but does not sound like any album published before. “Strange Device” sounds intuitively like a sonic representation of Ethernaut's actual persona, both organic in tone and alive in motion.

Ethernaut writes of his artistic aims, “'Strange Device' is meant to do two things simultaneously: stimulate the emotions of the listener in various ways, while transporting them into a bizarre and indistinct future world. I always loved and obsessed over the music that was included in video games, which to me achieved exactly those same goals. This is what I want 'Strange Device' to deliver to the listener.”

“Strange Device” by Ethernaut is available online worldwide beginning 2 February 2014.

Marley J. Wills releases new single 'Our Groove'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The voice of groove, soul and R 'n' B known as Marley J. Wills has released his latest single, “Our Groove.” The song has been released in collaboration with producer Manifest and DaGrooveStation (link provided below). A proper introduction of Wills, Manifest and DaGrooveStation to the world at large, “Our Groove” stands as an example of the spirit of soul and R 'n' B these artists are infusing their music with, and as proof that they are no rookies to the scene.

Marley J. Wills cites as main artistic influences a vast list of legends, such as Sugar Minot, Michael Jackson, Garnet Silk, Earth Wind and Fire, and Bones Thugs and Harmony. The rhythm and pop sensibilities of these geniuses emanate from “Our Groove” like heat, but there are also reggae vibes present, like those of Burning Spear, and a touch of funk in its delivery, like the natural power of James Brown.

Much of the titanic strength of “Our Groove,” comes from an obvious passion for meaningful poetry combined with music of the purest quality. One key line from Wills' single runs, “It's about putting the music back, back into the songs,” a direct declamation of modern trends in popular music today. While it may be said that each new era in music is decried by the former ones, current fads such as autotuned vocals, unrestrained studio effects and a dearth of lyrical meaning has been inexhaustibly questioned by critics, artists, and listeners of all ages, unilaterally for the first time.

Wills writes of his collaboration with Manifest, DaGrooveStation: “Lyrically, DaGroove is a music of positivity and hope, and a call-to-arms for us as one race to stand up and voice our fears, looking for solutions from within our communities and not from the powers that be. Although we are different faces from all walks and places, our problems are all the same, and history won’t solve them.”

Listening to tracks offered at DaGrooveStation, such as “Our Groove,” for just minutes alone is enough to understand the intensity with which these artists have carefully penned their words.

“Music has always been used to highlight the issues in our societies, and our music is written with all the above in mind,” continues Wills. “Most of all, from the truth – whether you like it or not.”

“Our Groove” by Marley J. Wills is available online worldwide beginning 1 February 2014. Get in early.

UK rockers FourPointOh release debut LP 'Young and Wasted'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The rock crew from Leicester, UK known as FourPointOh have released their debut LP record album, titled, “Young and Wasted.” The record is comprised of 11 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 50 minutes. Raw, real, and full of power and heart, “Young and Wasted” by FourPointOh stands as evidence that rock 'n' roll is more alive than ever, and still doesn't need digital effects to pack a punch.

FourPointOh cite as main artistic influences a mixing bowl of metal and hard-rock influences, including Iron Maiden, Rush, Alterbridge, Paramore, Metallica, Rise Against, Queen, and Megadeth. Rather than mashing these together to produce a gray amalgam, though, FourPointOh have clarified the root similarities with a result that recalls the definitive garage-metal sound of the 1980s and early '90s.

These broad musical interests add texture and range to their tone, too. While songs like “Damnation,” “Interlude” and “Save Me from Myself” come straight from the truest metal tradition, songs like “Scarred,” “Let's Go” and “We'll Make It Through” are even reminiscent of early UK punk bands with female leads, such as the Avengers. The result is a heavily emotional record interspersed with moments of upbeat aggression for a balanced, engaging and energizing listen-through.

For audiophiles interested in lyrical content, FourPointOh have spent time honing their craft as songwriters.

“The album focuses on the emotion, turmoil and angst that teenagers in any generation suffer as they try to understand and find their place in the world,” writes FourPointOh, “be it failed relationships, politics or global conflict and their uncertain futures.”

While the official studio release of “Young and Wasted” is spearheading their international campaign today, FourPointOh are tireless performers, and famed in the UK for their onstage appearances all over the nation. Their official bio states that they have played more than 50 shows, a titanic feat for musicians still in their teens. This number is likely much higher since the time of its writing.

FourPointOh have played a great many rock festivals, including Glastonbudget, Cosby Big Love and Oxjam. They were finalists in I Wanna Be a Rockstar, 2013, and winners of the Festival of Rock Battle of the Bands, 2012, held on the main stage at the 02 Academy Leicester.

Darla Diablo releases new single 'My Prince'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The female trio of pop vocalists known as Darla Diablo have released their new single, “My Prince.” The track is the most recent official release from the girls since three songs appeared on digital shelves around the world in November of 2013, “Wind Chimes,” “Make My Eyes Rain” and “Don't Tell Me.” Each of the songs has been published by the Poche Productions music company. With the latest capstone release of their “My Prince” single, Darla Diablo have been garnering public attention with plenty of critical and fan acclaim, and promise that 2014 will see the release of a full-length album.

Darla Diablo's main attraction is the genuine, heartfelt and sweet tone with which their vocals are sung. Their delivery is natural, unadorned, and innately talented without seeming overwrought. Crafted out of the purity of their performance, Darla Diablo's “My Prince” and other songs are recorded without the army of digital effects that often comes between the listener and the artist in a modern music studio. Backed by intuitive, creative and powerful songwriting, Darla Diablo are a crew to watch in the coming months.

“My Prince” itself is a contemporary love song in the spirit of classic girl groups such as the Shangri Las (“Leader of the Pack”) and Rosie and the Originals (“Angel Baby”). In this Darla Diablo strikingly succeeds, bringing new vigor and vivaciousness to a genre that has enjoyed the clamoring demand of music fans since its rise to prominence in the 1950s and '60s. “My Prince” is no throwback, however, boasting a modern beat that carries Darla Diablo's singing perfectly.

Fans of girl groups and undeniable songwriting have a rare treat in Darla Diablo. Their upcoming 2014 album is something listeners of pop music should look forward to with happy interest.

“My Prince” by Darla Diablo is available online worldwide beginning 31 January 2014.

Vietnam veterans release music single 'PTSD, the Enemy'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

A stalwart crew of Vietnam veterans has released a new music single, titled, “PTSD, the Enemy.” The group has been financially supporting veterans who are afflicted with PTSD for more than 30 years. The group, whose website is the same as the title of the song (link provided below) uses a portion of the proceeds to provide direct economic assistance to veterans in need.

“Your support will enable us to continue to offer assistance to veterans awaiting the outcome of their disability claims,” the group's official website states. “We will offer direct financial support to veterans through local charities to help with food needs, utility bills, housing, transportation etc. We will contribute to local soup kitchens and food banks that distribute to veterans in need.”

VeteransandPTSD.com reports that of the 2.3 million veterans of the USA's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, at least 20% of them have PTSD. Of these, approximately 50% will seek treatment, but only one fifth will receive what a recent RAND study termed “minimally adequate treatment.” “PTSD the Enemy,” and the group of military veterans who made the song possible, exist to bring aide to these hundreds of thousands of men and women waiting to hear from government agencies regarding their disability status.

“Too many veterans wait too long for a decision, and this has never been acceptable,” said VA Secretary Eric Shinseki, speaking of the lengthy process to approve a medical claim for PTSD. “That is why we are implementing an aggressive plan to eliminate the backlog in 2015.

However, 2015 remains a long way off. “PTSD, the Enemy” is a sure way to deliver help where it is needed most. Many of the 8.2 million Vietnam-era veterans with PTSD still need assistance even now.

The single itself is modern and stylish, with a style not unlike a contemporary Tracy Chapman's. Its lyrics are clearly and compassionately written through the voice of experience.

Charity group spokesman L. Gatel writes, “The song attempts to convey the hurt and pain associated with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our hope is that this song will help to make more people aware of this condition and the devastating affect that it has had on our veterans. Support active duty military men and women, and honour our Veterans.”

Phonk and House release new single 'Big Bang'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The Norwegian duo of electronic music composers known as Phonk and House have released their latest music single, “Big Bang.” The single is the most significant official release from Phonk and House since their December, 2013 release, “Get Up.” Both singles have been published on the Evoque music label, as will be their newest track, “Rogue,” the preview for which was made available at Phonk and House's official Soundcloud page on 28 January.

The sound of “Big Bang” is full, heavy-hitting, and jubilantly loud in the style and tradition of the greatest European house artists. The song is populated with the hi-powered synth sound fans of contemporary club music have demanded since its innovation in the early 1990s, as well as with thumping, pounding bass beats and elegant, aggressive melody lines. Fans of digital musicians such as Sweden's Aviici and France's David Guetta will be enthusiastic about this EDM party anthem from Phonk and House.

Phonk and House is the stage name for electronic composers Tom and Kay, who began writing and performing together in 2007, having come from a diverse range of musical experiences. Late the same year, they founded the Norwegian Electro Association, a society of Norwegian music producers. Their live shows have garnered them a broad and devoted fan base throughout Europe's house-music underground scene since that time.

“Music is our way of life!” write Phonk and House. “It’s the only way of truly expressing ourselves and reaching out to music loving people.”

As regular personalities on RadioVolum, Phonk and House have made themselves as much of an online phenomenon as they have live. As a result of their widespread critical and fan acclaim, they were invited by the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards to submit their 2010 track, “High on Life,” for consideration.

Puggy Sharps releases new single 'Shift'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The composer of electronic music known as Puggy Sharps has released his latest official single, titled, “Shift.” The single is the most prominent material to be released from Sharps since his summer 2013 LP record release, “Straight Edge Beat Head.” Both the LP and his latest single, “Shift,” have been released independently on his own popular music label, Chilly Ching Records.

Puggy Sharps is a Canadian artist of EDM, house, hip hop and pop music. He has been composing instrumentals since 2002, at which time he used an IBM PC running the Win '98 operating system. He cites as main artistic influences a broad array of various legends, including David Guetta, Timbaland, Jim Jonston, Luis Resto, Deadmou5, Scott Storch, Eminem, Akon, the Beatles, Avicii, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Linkin Park, Michael Jackson, and Black Eyed Peas.

The melange of tones this produces in his music is subtly complex, highly textured, and full of era-specific ambiances and undertones which range from '80s retro to dubstep.

“I’ve always had a passion for music since I can remember,” writes Puggy Sharps. “Ever since I heard the Beatles or MC Hammer, it all just sort of grew from there. I've always had an instrument I could play, whether it was a toy keyboard or a guitar. I was always enthused by the melody and harmonics of it all.”

Sharps' first tracks were hip hop and rap beats, which he soon learned were popular and successful on SoundClick charts. Since then he has branched out into house music and EDM, and plans to explore these new avenues fully.

“Eventually I will be producing full songs like Avicii and David Guetta,” writes Puggy Sharps.

Sharps makes his music for the sake of people, rather than for the sake of itself.

“I hope my music inspires people to become their best, whatever it is,” he says of this. “People can master their emotions and try to attain a state of zen where they can make a positive impact on their world because it all starts from within. I feel music is a way for people to release what's inside of them. To know fans from France, Sweden, the US, Canada, Belgium and so many other countries are actually playing Puggy Sharps is quite an honor.”

Rapper 24Se7eN releases new single and video 'Eyes of a Child'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The UK rapper known as 24Se7eN has released his latest single, “Eyes of a Child,” under the European indie label, S2N Records. The single has been released with a corresponding official music video. Both have been published on the European based S2N (Second 2 None Records) music label. In addition to 24Se7eN, S2N records is affiliated with such artists as Alex Buchanan, Skout, Finesse Parlay, Stellanova and Dani-Vi, all of whom have seen much popular exposure in recent months. In addition to being the most recent showcase of 24Se7eN's skill and style, “Eyes of a Child” also features the talents of Alex Buchanan and the Voxalba Choir.

24Se7eN cites as main artistic influences a vast array of different artists. He surprisingly includes such unlikely names as Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Elton John, and Fleetwood Mac, as well as such legends of hip hop as Eminem, Nas, Dr. Dre, The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Madchild, Wu-Tang, Ill Bill and Talib Kweli. While it may be said that the former musicians inform 24Se7eN's studio polish and production aplomb, it is the latter who figure into the loud, proud and singular 24Se7eN sound.

Speaking of his musical roots, 24Se7eN writes, “The first time I really felt the music, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. It's a way to express real emotion through music and lyrics.”

24Se7eN's “Eyes of a Child” is no mere rap song, however. Like much of his material, often written in a fast-paced format of urban poetry, the song has more meaningful intent than much of today's popular
hip-hop fare. Every 24Se7eN track is written with precision and intellect, delivered with a verbal agility that lends power to every verse and phrase.

Speaking of the themes in “Eyes of a Child,” 24Se7eN writes that it challenges the listener: “to look at what's happening in the world. As much as we evolve, we are also killing ourselves and our planet.”

His new track expresses the innocence of life-is-bliss through the “'Eyes Of A Child,” also touching on some of the compelling mysteries and travesties of life as we know it.

24Se7eN has been performing since the 1990s. His live collaboration with Dani-Vi and Roser, “The Big Night,” was triumphantly received in 2012 by a crowd of over 10,000 including radio, press and TV at Madrid's famous Gay Pride celebration. “Eyes of a Child” represents 24Se7eN's first solo
production. It was produced by Skout.

Lunar Ray release debut LP 'Along the Red Pine Path'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The music composers known as Lunar Ray have released their debut LP record album, titled, “Along the Red Pine Path.” It is comprised of 10 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 45 minutes. The album has been proudly and independently released without the aid of the corporate music industry, and is already being hailed as one of the most inventive and creative records of the new year.

“Along the Red Pine Path” by Lunar Ray is an entirely instrumental record composed of both digital and live instrumentation. It aims to describe in sonic terms a stroll through a natural environment.

Lunar Ray write of this, “The album is an attempt to communicate sounds and feelings found in nature. It is a walk down a path towards the relaxation found in each song’s theme. Listeners can unwind to the scenery of sounds.”

This musical “scenery” is indeed vivid enough to visualize without any effort on the part of the listener. The songs are intriguingly textured, tastefully layered, and written with a Tao-like flow that encourages calm, contentment and appreciation for the world's subtle and overt beauties.

Lunar Ray cite as main artistic influences only the Irish founder of “soothe” music, Enya. In “Along the Red Pine Path” many notable likenesses occur, though Lunar Ray's music is less synth-driven than the pizzicato-enamored Enya. Lunar Ray populates their sound with a broad variety of instruments for a warm, raw sound that could be reproduced live without the help of high technology.

The result is a polished, delicate wonder that is healing to the hearer and marvelous in nearly any listening circumstance. It's ten tracks loop excellently – the happy music fan will not notice the album's beginning again (perhaps for the third consecutive time).

“Along the Red Pine Path” by Lunar Ray is available online worldwide.

Fans of new-age and natural music should by all means get in early.

Tripp Berlin releases new single 'Fashionably Late'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The rock artist known as Tripp Berlin has released his latest single, titled, “Fashionably Late.” The track is the first single from his upcoming debut LP record, “A New Disorder,” to be officially released to the public. Since the online worldwide publication of “Fashionably Late,” Tripp Berlin has found himself at the top of the Bakersfield, CA music subculture, with popular websites such as ReverbNation showing him at #1 on their chart for the rock music genre.

Tripp Berlin calls his style of music “new-age” rock, which is not to say that his music has anything to do with the Age of Aquarius, but rather, that the sound he has developed has a style unlike what has been done in ages past. He cites as main artistic influences 311, Nirvana, Bush, Korn, and Limp Bizkit. Of these, Tripp Berlin's unmistakable tone is most similar to 311, Korn and Limp Bizkit, all of whom gained prevalence by taking the grunge feel and super-powering it with elements of hardcore and late heavy metal music. Tripp Berlin's “Fashionably Late” takes these attributes and adds himself to the mix for a new sound that is decidedly fresh and contemporary.

Tripp Berlin has been playing music since the age of 11, and joined his first band at 13. His original love was for guitar. His need to be part of the rock tradition started much earlier, however.

“Passion for music started as far back as 4 years old,” he writes. “My Dad and Uncle Joe had a rehearsal studio in Santa Monica, and I remember my desire to become a musician.”

The late '90s saw him experimenting with sound effects, sequencers and controllers, which would allow him to develop the full and heavy sound which appears at the forefront of his music today. Having honed his skills to a sharp point, tragedy became the catalyst which would ignite the creation of his forthcoming record.

“My inspiration to begin writing and recording my first album started when my younger sister passed away from cancer,” writes Tripp Berlin. “With a new desire and passion to release my music, I decided to write, record, produce, and edit each instrument (guitar, bass, keys), vocals, and song structure for 12 new songs.”

Asked to comment on his lyrical themes, Tripp Berlin says that they revolve around “life stages and experiences, relationships, overcoming obstacles, dreams, ambitions, goals, character growth, pain and suffering.”

Sally Joy Bouska releases three new LP records

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The singer and songwriter of pop music on acoustic guitar known as Sally Joy Bouska has released three new full-length LPs, each belonging to her “Sally Sings” series of albums. Her three new records are titled, “Life's Stories,” “Spiritual Sound” and “Young Christian Heart,” respectively. Each of them was published independently in August of 2013. A warm, friendly and uplifting trio of records, these newest additions to the “Sally Sings” series by Bouska represent a true, contemporary American style not often heard overseas, and a collection of Christian music that is in many ways more genuine than much which comes from the mainstream gospel music industry today.

Bouska's sound is raw, warm and natural, her guitar forming a flowing accompaniment to her unadorned and lilting voice. Her tone evokes the best folk musicians of the 1960s and '70s. Her songwriting style is not unlike that of Bobby Gentry (“Ode to Billie Joe”), and her clarion vocal timbre is reminiscent of Helen Reddy (“Angie Baby”). The result is a subtly textured sound so consistently good that it reminds the listener, it takes exactly one talented person to make great music. The lavish recording studios of the 21st century can do no better.

Bouska got her start in music as early as is possible. It has been a formative force in her character and personal history.

“I have sung with my family since I was a child,” she writes. “Then I went to school and got a degree in music and became a music teacher. Music has been a part of me for my entire life.”

She cites as main artistic influences many of the best American musicals, including “The Sound of Music,” “Cinderella,” “Wicked,” “Oklahoma,” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” However, she places particular emphasis on more traditional sources of musical inspiration.

“I have been influenced by the great classical composers,” she writes, “and singer/songwriters such as Simon and Garfunkel, in particular their song, 'The Sound of Silence.'”

Bouska has written over 100 original songs and is still teaching. She frequently rewards classes who complete their work in a timely manner by sharing one of her songs.

The “Sally Sings” series by Sally Joy Bouska, including “Life's Stories,” “Spiritual Sound” and “Young Christian Heart,” are available online worldwide.

Female singer/songwriter promotes positive change for women in music industry

Jan. 7, 2014 (Hamilton, ON) -- The singer/songwriter from Ontario, Canada known as Pazit has released her latest single, “Meet Me Halfway.” The award-winning Pazit's style has been described as everything from Barbara Streisand to Carol King, and from Sarah Bareilles to Sarah McLachlan. Drawing from the diverse musical influences she grew up listening to, her writing is richly melodic, candid, and heartfelt. Pazit's beautiful voice and emotional delivery garnered her the 2012 Niagara Music Awards' Best Female Vocalist of the Year. But it is Pazit's live shows and positive ideals that are causing a buzz with her audience.

"The media and music industry have played a large role in dictating what sells, but not in giving people what they truly want," says the petite songstress. "I believe, especially after the recent Miley Cyrus MTV VMA performance uproar, that society in general holds women to a much higher esteem than the media and music industries have presented. As a wife, mother, teacher, and artist, I feel a responsibility to promote change in an industry that has shaped an inaccurate mold."

So how does she plan on pursuing this goal? "I prefer to sing live for women-only audiences. I dress modestly, and make my shows about the music. I try to project myself in the manner in which I would like to see the industry portray women in general." But why the women-only audiences? "Women, like myself, crave evenings out without any perceived projections from men- be it in the music we enjoy, the way we dress, behave, or socialize. I love my husband and our male friends dearly, but hanging out with women is fun, supportive, and freeing." Her audiences certainly appear to appreciate the opportunity, which they say is a complete pendulum-swing from the current media culture of image over substance.
But it is the music that they are ultimately drawn to and taken with. The five songs on Pazit's debut EP, "Defying Chaos", are mostly reflective ballads that deal with intimate themes such as divorce, death, and financial struggle. The first track is a catchy alt/country/pop ballad called "Meet Me Halfway" that speaks to a long-standing relationship that needs mending. On the other end of the spectrum, "The Load" is an intriguing jazz/pop ballad, written as support for her husband during a difficult time. "I tend to write about pivotal moments in a person's life when a choice needs to be made between acceptance or change. Often it is as simple as a subtle paradigm shift that allows the person to move forward and grow." Positive change seems to be a resounding theme in all aspects of this artist's vision.

Marrying her songs with live instrumentals and refreshingly paired-down production, Pazit's debut EP is a modest and endearing compilation. "As an artist, I want to move people. I purposefully chose to get away from the often over-produced sounds on the radio and get back to basics." Judging from her audience's often teary response and immediate desire to share the music with others, Pazit has managed to do exactly that. "Ultimately, my wish is to make music that truly resounds with my audience and to present myself in a way that commands respect and unified support for women in general."

For further information or to hear Pazit's music please visit her website at: http://pazit1.wix.com, or check out her FB page at: https://www.facebook.com/defyingchaos.

The Crack Factory releases debut LP 'Trilateral Commission: Instrumentals by the Crack Factory'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The composer of digital hip-hop music known as the Crack Factory has released his latest LP record, titled, “Trilateral Commission: Instrumentals by the Crack Factory.” The record is comprised of 10 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 45 minutes. It has been released on the Crack Factory independent music records label. An entirely instrumental record founded on solid back beats, stylish loops and clever melodies, “Trilateral Commission...” by the Crack Factory is a rare example of hip hop music written to stand without an emphasis on rap vocals, an excellent addition to any collection of instrumental music.

Crack Factory cites as main artistic influences such crews as 9th Wonder, DJ Premier, Just Blaze, Wu-Tang Clan, J Dilla, the Roots, and a heap of others. Slotted between Bone-Thugz-N-Harmony and the Delphonics, however, sits a surprising phrase: YouTube conspiracy channels. While such videos may seem like an unlikely source of musical inspiration, Crack Factory uses the sinister, collegiate tone of such discussions to set the mood of his “Trilateral Commission...” record.

Crack Factory writes of this, “[My record] is an instrumental album that expresses the emotions of a 2013 American citizen. Each Instrumental on the album represents a different conspiracy theory. Each instrumental captures the essence of each of these theories.”

The effectiveness of these songs in doing so is uncanny. Any one of them would work flawlessly as the background score to a Dan Brown film, or to a viral Internet exposé such as “Zeitgeist.” Music fans without a background in such information can entertain themselves while listening to Crack Factory's record by reading up on some of the song titles: “Treaty of Grenada,” “The Majestic Twelve,” or “Project Blue Beam,” for instance.

The Crack Factory lives in the music hotbed of the Washington DC Metro Area.

“Trilateral Commission: Instrumentals by the Crack Factory” is available online worldwide.

Uncle Tony releases new LP 'Mood Swings'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The musician-turned-humorist known as Uncle Tony has released his latest LP music album, “Mood Swings.” The record is comprised of 14 (very) original tracks for an approximate total listening time of one hour. It has been released on the 3rd Year Old Productions music records label.

Uncle Tony's “Mood Swings” is legitimately excellent, remarkably well-written music, and every one of Tony's songs is literally laugh-out-loud hilarious. Singing in no uncertain terms about topics like “Hipster Douchebags” (Track 4) and homosexual tendencies (“My Daddy Is a Mommy,” Track 12) Tony is an honest-to-God Weird Al for the year 2014.

His lines are blunt, crass, startlingly intelligent and absolutely not for children. Socially relevant and refreshingly offensive, Uncle Tony will appeal to every music fan with a sense of humor and an ear to hear.

It must be emphasized that “Mood Swings” is not humor masquerading as quality listening. It is populated with bluegrass songs, punk rock songs, classic rock songs, '90s pop-funk songs, and a death metal anthem growled out by a junkie Cookie Monster. Chock-full of high-adrenaline power, foot-tapping groove, or genuine American twang as best befits the style of the track in question, “Mood Swings” is top-shelf music that also happens to be very, very funny.

Everything from the exceptionally varied instrumentation, to Uncle Tony's undeniable charm and singing talent, to the shockingly perfect studio production of “Mood Swings” is of a higher quality than 90% of what is showcased on the radio every day – and that is perhaps the biggest gag of all. Uncle Tony proves from track to track that he could be a musical celebrity in any genre he might prefer, yet he clearly prefers to laugh, and to make others laugh with him.

The result of this artistic decision is nearly 60 minutes of listening that will absolutely find its way into the cars and home stereos of people all over the English-speaking world, bringing much good-natured ribbing, belly-laughing guffaws, and ingeniously written and performed music where it is needed most: everywhere.

The splendor and ridiculousness that is “Mood Swings” by Uncle Tony is available online worldwide. Get in early.

J.Ransom releases new single 'Bring It Back'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

New Jersey rapper J.Ransom has released his latest single, “Bring It Back.” The single is Ransom's most significant official music release since his winter of 2013 mixtape, “Life Beyond Reason: Speaking to the World,” which was made available to the public free of charge. A track with a modern edge and an old-school heart, “Bring It Back” is a song that every fan of the rap and hip-hop genres can get behind.

J.Ransom's “Bring It Back” is a call for music fans, rappers and DJs alike to return to the way of the original urban poets, who in the eyes of many respected music critics did some of their best work in the 1990s, often referred to as the “new-school” era of hip hop. His beats are strong, his lines are sharp, and his studio production is slim, trim and clean.

“The first thing I ever wrote creatively was a rap,” writes J.Ransom, who published two books before his 22nd birthday. “I have been listening to music since birth. My uncle was a local DJ who introduced me to music. I creatively have done all types of writing, but it was not until a year ago I started taking being an artist seriously. But I have worked as a part of an independent record company and as a producer.”

What strikes the listener first upon pressing 'play' is the full, shadowy sound of “Bring It On.” Immediately after, it becomes absolutely clear that J.Ransom cares deeply about the message of his music. This is not casual, freestyle rapping. This is rap music penned by someone with an ear for groove and a mind for significant meaning.

J.Ransom writes of the themes in “Bring It Back,” “This single is very true to every word said in the lyrics. This is meant to be a hip-hop song with my style of lyricism and production. It is true to the northeast sound of hip-hop originated in NYC, but with Jersey flavor and a poetic truth. The song is very much so made for the love of the music and hop-hop culture.”

Ransom's passion for the craft is self-evident in his tone and wordplay. He cites as main artistic influences Nas, Jay-Z, GZA, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, INI, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Gangstarr, Black Star, Kanye West, Pusha T, and Common.

“Bring It Back” by J.Ransom is available online worldwide beginning January 5, 2014.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The rapper and producer of hip hop known as MC Drunken Monk has released his latest LP record album, “Ghost Flow the LP.” The record is comprised of 10 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of half an hour. It has been released on the New Age Lions Music LLC record label. In addition to the considerable talents of MC Drunken Monk, “Ghost Flow the LP” also features the skills of such artists as Nittlz, TKO, and Clifford Brown III, as well as a surprise guest appearance by Drunken Monk's alter ego, J. Gray.

A no-frills, no-nonsense rap record with a heavy emphasis on wordplay and back beats, “Ghost Flow the LP” is one of the most intriguing independent hip-hop releases from the underground scene in recent months. While the “Parental Advisory Explicit Lyrics” sticker has been applied to each of the record's 10 tracks, this should not imply that MC Drunken Monk's album lacks class. On the contrary, it would be outside of Monk's character to yoke and restrain his extensive vocabulary.

“I don't believe in boundaries,” Monk writes, “and I always try to be true to my roots and who I am, even if it goes against the grain of society.”

MC Drunken Monk cites as main artistic influences such artists as Stevie Wonder, Digable Planets, Miles Davis, Guru, Robert Glasper, A Tribe Called Quest, and Whiz Khalifa. True to his individualistic personality, however, he uses these inspirations as sounding boards of artistic taste rather than guidelines. Monk's sonic style is entirely his own, inimitable, and leaves a lasting impression.

MC Drunken Monk has operated in the hip-hop, jazz, classical, and other music cultures of San Francisco, Berkeley, Montana, North Louisiana and New Orleans, where he became entrenched in the popular and influential spoken word underground of the 1990s. His background in these various genres continues to inform his hip-hop sound and tone. MC Drunken Monk has described his music as a hybrid of jazz, funk, and electronica with strong southern rap influences.

“Ghost Flow the LP” by MC Drunken Monk is available online worldwide beginning 3 January 2014.
