Heavy Metal Band Set4th Releases Official Video “Screamin Demons”

Washington state metal band Set4th has released their latest official video for their flagship single, "Screamin Demons"
Washington state metal band Set4th has released their latest official video for their flagship single, “Screamin Demons,” to fan and critical acclaim. Set4th is a heavy metal band in the tradition of Pantera, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, and other mainstays of the metal genre. With an appropriate release date of October 31st (the American holiday of Halloween), “Screamin Demons” could not be more timely, nor Set4th’s sound more dark and foreboding.

Set4th, the Frankensteinian monster-creation of Pike Auchtung, is a heavy metal band in the truest sense of the word. The guitar work is lightning-fast, though measured, like the mechanical guts of a machine gun. The percussion is a driving staccato of snares, toms, and crash symbols. The bass, in lieu of founding brother Sloppy Joe, maintains its Set4th nobility from the cover of shadows. In short, the looming, booming wall of sound that is Set4th stands giant and tall in this video release of “Screamin Demons,” and is evidence that in this latter year 2012, the spirit of metal remains untarnished by time, and alive – or, rather – very, very much undead.

There is more to Auchtung’s music than mere headbanging fare, however. As a lyricist, he has spent time infusing his words with meaning beneath and behind the surface and the symbols.  Of this he writes: “‘Screamin Demons’ is about conquering your fears before they conquer you. I use metaphors to place listeners into a more creative realm. I believe the metaphor I use for ‘Screamin Demons’ can help listeners to feel strong, and powerful enough to defeat their toughest fears.”

At the very least, fans of Set4th must allow that Auchtung himself is the furthest thing from afraid. He carries every artistic responsibility for the band, and does so to great effect. His obvious, resounding triumph may be heard in the electrical charge surging through each chord, in each smash of the drums, and certainly in the approbation of the metal scene.

Punk rock band Forever Air releases first LP “A Glass Canvas”

Pop-punk band Forever Air has released their first full-length record, “A Glass Canvas,” to critical acclaim

Pop-punk band Forever Air has released their first full-length record, “A Glass Canvas,” to critical and fan acclaim. Forever Air itself was first formed in the tradition of the new-school, California punk-rock style popularized by bands like Blink-182, Screeching Weasel, and Riverfenix in the mid- nineteen-nineties. Characterized by melodic songwriting, a one-two drumbeat, and a relatively small number of members, this increasingly rare sound lies somewhere between the doo-wop rock of the fifties and the outright aggression of punk from the early and mid-eighties. This flavor of punk rock is some of the most fun a music fan can have, and although Forever Air’s first long-playing album, “A Glass Canvas,” is a departure from the hard-fast-loud formula of yesteryear, it has the best qualities of the genre in spades.

The first attribute of note regarding “A Glass Canvas” is the sheer length of the record, which, comprised of a modest twelve tracks, stops spinning at around an hour, thirty-percent more music for the listener’s money than a typical LP, which runs for approximately forty minutes.  Besides this, the fan will notice a marked change in tone and mood from track one to track two, from two to three, and so on. Many songs have the appeal of great classic rock ballads. Some tracks feature classy, crystalline female vocals to contrast with the usual lead. Additionally, Forever Air’s lyrics are written to show the audience, rather than tell them outright, what the music intends to convey.  According to singer/songwriter Allan Rookyard, this is entirely intentional.

“I like people to be a little interpretative for themselves,” he writes. “I mean, why tell people what’s happening in a song? I’d rather the person listening make that choice. The beauty of music to me is how it can affect you and make you feel a certain way. What one person may think or relate to, could be totally different for someone else. So this album is all about you. It’s personal, emotional, vibrant and full of life.”

Though their songs are more relaxed than, say, the Sex Pistols, Forever Air keeps the tradition of heart and honesty in punk rock where it’s always been located: somewhere between the words and the guitar strings. Everyone with punk rock sensibilities and an ear for poetry will appreciate the raw beauty of “A Glass Canvas.”

Rock musician Beej releases first official video single, “Livin Loco Motion”

Rock musician Beej has released his first official single and video, “Livin Loco Motion”
Rock musician Beej has released his first official single and video, “Livin Loco Motion.”  The track is a Latin-flavored pop groove on the topic of living each moment to the fullest.  It features Beej performing both lead vocals and guitar while backed by stylish organ chords, some sparingly played piano, and saxophones.  Though Beej is a solo artist, the track is remarkably full-bodied without sounding overproduced in the slightest way, and is a legitimately fine example of the Spanish influence in modern pop and rock n’ roll.

Surprisingly, Beej himself is originally from the paper-milling countryside of Wisconsin, but the exotic tone of his single is proof of his current worldliness, which experience includes the faraway coast of San Francisco, and the even further-away Swiss city of Geneva.  Geneva is where Beej became acquainted with the legendary Universal music genius, Yorgos Benardos, whose talent as an engineer and producer absolutely sparkles on “Livin Loco Motion.”  Geneva is also where Beej has been writing lyrics for Warner Bros.’s Dania Gio between writing music for himself.

This particular song is of particular interest to Beej, whose personal philosophy revolves around living life with great deliberation. Regarding the lyrics to “Livin Loco Motion,” Beej says, “Livin Loco Motion is about seizing the day, being a bit crazy and not letting the moment blow you by.  It’s about life and what you make of it now, not what you made it yesterday or what you’ll make of it tomorrow, because now is the only thing that’s actually real.”

The accompanying video showcases this belief in detail by telling the comical story of a masquerade party, at which party revelers get into a fistfight over costumes.  The fight escalates until these unlikely warriors use jetpacks to escape earth’s atmosphere and continue their duel of dukes until one of them is hurled to the ground, leaving the other to return victorious to the burning ruins that remain of the party.  This carpe-diem attitude is not all Beej wants to talk about in “Livin Loco Motion,” though.

“It’s also about standing up and dancing,” he says.  “Sometimes that’s the only way to express what you feel inside.  And it’s also a bit about some vague but deep feelings my brothers, sisters and I were trying to express as we lurched about on our instruments back in that snow-swept land [of Wisconsin].  To the outside world, it might have seemed like we were just banging on electric pots and pans and destroying the peace.  But back there, back in our cement-walled basement, we were alive.  And we were living in the now.”

Chances are, Beej will be rocking in the now for a long time.

Spanish import is ready for the next level, and has the fans to prove it
Born in Granada, Spain, J. Truly is an artist with an international perspective. The singer and guitarist moved to America when he was young, and spent most of his life traveling back and forth across the Atlantic. That experience made J. Truly an artist and a man with two homes, and an appreciation for the diverse culture of each nation, as well as a perspective on how the two can come together. That’s the ethos behind his debut EP, “Rock Like This.”
J. Truly started his love affair with music as a teenager, beginning with classical Spanish guitar. He soon found himself composing his own music, and added vocalist to his arsenal of talents.
As a bi-cultural artist, J. Truly cites influences that span both cultures, including the Gypsy Kings, Estopa, Mana and Alejandro Sanz, Sting, U2, and Cat Stevens. That international flavor comes through clearly in “Rock Like This,” as the artist blends pop, rumba and Spanish ballads, a refreshing style that highlights J. Truly’s experiences in the U.S. and abroad.
The music video for the title track, which was filmed in Granada and New York City, highlights the beauty and natural appeal in combining two distinct cultures and music genres. It blends Spain’s beauty and tradition – the architecture, flamenco, cuisine, and passion for soccer – and transposes them across that inimitable New York skyline, and the city’s diversity and hip hop culture.
The title track’s Latin club-rhythm and pop melody are infinitely danceable, and infectiously catchy. The rest of the album is just as appealing. “Courageous Baby” is a ballad driven by J. Truly’s classical guitar and emotive vocals. “Musica” brings elements of Flamenco Rumba and high-energy that will force you out of your chair and onto the dance floor. “Canto” is a testament to J. Truly’s virtuoso guitar work, with a twisting and galloping melody that’s full of mercurial energy.
The distance between Spain and America never felt so small. “Rock Like This” is a bridge between two cultures that makes the exotic feel enchantingly familiar.

27After Release Self-titled Debut EP

Colorado alt-rockers make a splash with their first album

27After says their musical influences are “The Foo Fighters, Johnny Cash, Pantera and our 8 billion brothers and sisters that we live with on the planet.” That global worldview explains the band’s broad-based appeal. All the way from Denver, CO., 27After are making music that speaks to anyone with a pulse.

The Colorado-native trio produce melodic alt-rock with just a touch of hard-edged gravitas. Melodic and more than a little radio-friendly, no one will ever mistake 27After for just another bunch of vapid pop stars.

Guitarist and lead singer Cash Crandall’s songwriting reflects the band’s musical philosophy perfectly. Crandall calls it “the control of intellect with the freedom of letting it all go,” and that paradoxical sense of restrained abandon infuses every track on the album.

Bass lines as dense as a tar pit churn and boil around the guitar and vocals, kept in perfect harmony by high-intensity drumming. The result is a frenetic rock album that’s as catchy as it is compelling.

The October 27 release of 27After’s self-titled debut EP is the long awaited result of a year and a half spent in Colorado, where the trio have been hard at work writing and composing. But that’s not all. Those hours in the studio have also resulted in the band’s first full 12 song CD, scheduled for release in the summer of 2013.

The first two releases, “Live” and “Monday” are already getting attention online. “Live” has a swirling, contemplative energy, punctuated with a message of positivity and love. “Monday” is a straightforward, rollicking, alt-pop masterpiece. Both are well-poised to establish the band on the national stage.

Musically, the in-your-face, “let it all go” style that a 27After show delivers is refreshing. 27After is a believer that there aren’t many things better than discovering new music. Most people will agree after catching 27After’s debut album.

Young South Australia singer/songwriter Alex Hosking releases debut LP record “Wish”

South Australia singer/songwriter Alex Hosking has released her premier long-playing record, “Wish”

South Australia singer/songwriter Alex Hosking has released her premier long-playing record, “Wish.”  The album is partly pop and partly indie rock with a Sheryl Crow attitude and a Tori Amos heart.  Hosking is gratuitous in her positivity and optimism, her songs almost universally light of spirit and entirely unfettered by melodrama of any kind.  The album is humble, yet ambitious, fecund with ostentatious talent without seeming vain.

Her tracks are original and wholly her own, taken from a repertoire which she began writing at the age of ten.  Live performances commenced almost simultaneously.

“I performed my first song at church on Christmas day as a young girl,” she says.  Regarding her attitude toward songwriting she declares,My mind is a circus and my heart is open.”  Indeed, her lyrics seem drawn from a secret autobiography at times – not to say from a diary, which would be unfair to the maturity of her work, which also bears mention.   “Why do we do it: talk?” she asks with the insouciance of a philospher in her song, “Bright Green.”  She follows this query with a buoyant assertion belying her youth: “I don’t want to, I don’t have to.”  Her effervence contains a dark spot of yang to balance the brightness of her yin, however, evident in precocious lines like, “I’m afraid of what I’ve become,” a spooky thing to hear sung with conviction from a woman just entering her twenties.

The artist from Adelaide calls her flowering musical career a “wish come true,” from which it must be inferred the title of Hosking’s record comes, but wishing on stars cannot be the source of her popularity when the sheer talent of her performances is outstripped only by the genius of her writing.  Among her influences she lists the Chili Peppers, Sia, Beyonce, the Kooks, and – most bogglingly – Biggie Smalls.  Watch for said influence, though, during the bridge of “Uneven Hedges,” when she commences to pound out chords on her piano and rap like an unknown and unlikely member of NWA, saying, “We still got terrorists here, livin’ in the USA: the big CIA, Bloodz, Crips, the KKK.”  The versatility of Alex Hosking is a thing to behold.
Undoubtedly Hosking has an overabundance of musical expertise, but, as her website states very clearly, “most importantly she is authentic.”

Dallas Lockett releases premier LP “Higher Then Mountains”

Dallas Lockett has released his newest official long-playing record, “Higher Then Mountains,” to much-deserved acclaim.

Dallas Lockett has released his newest official long-playing record, “Higher Then Mountains,” to much-deserved acclaim.  Dallas Duane Lockett is a gospel singer and songwriter of the absolute highest caliber.  His rich, practiced vocal tone is as full and sonorous as Otis Redding, his cadence and groove measured and precise, his style classy, earnest, and brimming with the holy spirit of his God.

That Lockett’s singing is full of class and groove shouldn’t be surprising; he lists as artistic influences nobody but greats: Sam Cooke, Johnny Taylor, Bobby Womack.  That his inspiration for making music comes from his Heavenly Father should also shock no-one, as, having heard the call of his Lord, he has been touring on an evangelical basis since the age of just 16, having learned the art of stage performance at the church of his youth.  With songs penned by the talented writer, Jerone Howard, as well as by Dallas Lockett, himself, he has touched the hearts, souls, and lives of hundreds since growing up in Akron, Ohio.

Dallas’ skills as a songwriter leave nothing to be wanted, either.  In 2006, one of his own compositions caught the eye of gospel music legend Shirley Caesar, with whom he subsequently performed the piece live before congregations and audiences to great, resounding applause.  Though his musical talents obviously outstrip those of most would-be musical performers, Lockett’s priority and first love is in Christ Jesus, his God and Savior.

To the question of what message he intends to convey through this album, “Higher Then Mountains,” Dallas Lockett writes, “To spread the word of life to those who are searching for truth in this world that is sometimes confusing, and to bring to them a much-needed hope.”  If the listener is a fan of truly excellent gospel music that lifts the spirit and glorifies God on High, then at least he or she need not hope any longer for that; Lockett’s “Higher Then Mountains” is exceptionally fine worship music.

Virginia punk/hardcore band BOXER releases premier EP “Undertow”

Richmond VA band BOXER has released their first official extended-play record, “Undertow”

Richmond VA band BOXER (caps intentional) has released their first official extended-play record, “Undertow.”  The album features five tracks making up approximately 13 minutes worth of listening time.  Each of the members perform with verve and measured aggression on this latter-day hardcore record.  The engineering is expert and does not fall victim to over-production, a rarity in this era of the digital studio.  This is exceptionally fortunate for fans of hardcore music, too, because “Undertow” features some of the most legitimate hardcore since Quicksand.

BOXER’s sound lies somewhere between Lifetime and Hot Water Music.  Their powerful guitars command brightly distorted, driving rhythms interspersed with heartfelt, clean-channel picking.  Their vocalists pitch-scream over this wall of sound in raw, genuine tones indicative of the 1990s emotional hardcore tradition, true to the style that made bands like Sensefield, Sunny Day Real Estate, and the Promise Ring legends of the late hardcore scene.

Veteran listeners may feel distrustful of comparisons linking modern hardcore to bygone acts like Sunny Day, or even consider such suggestions blasphemous, but BOXER has everything the Revelation Records performers had in spades, without sounding derivative.  Stewart Jester and Grayson Wallace play guitar with torrential violence, their leads unadorned and spare.  Between strums they provide vocals that compliment one another like glittering light on broken glass, one clear and melodic, the other grating and gravelly.  Bassist Dewey Zei makes a harmonic walk of his basslines and marries seamlessly the roaring guitars to Ian Hurdle’s percussion.  Hurdle’s drums go snap-smash and crack-crash in jazz-precision time with pounding, warlike intensity.

BOXER describe being in a punk/hardcore band from Richmond as a double-edged sword.  “On one hand,” they write, “you are following in the footsteps of legendary acts like Avail, Strike Anywhere, and Government Warning, but on the other hand, you’re constantly trying to stand out musically in a city brimming with spectacular artists.”  BOXER has nothing to fear from this, however.  Among titans of the hardcore movement, they don’t just fit in – they stand out, stand tall, and stride like giants.

Emerge releases “Sunset Coast” to critical acclaim

The re-emergence of Emerge: the original SF fusion power trio's music is back, this time as a solo project.

The original trio Emerge (guitarist and band leader Peter Jong Chang, bassist Dave Mendoza, and drummer Atma Anur) were no strangers to music, having played together for years in San Francisco, and prior to that each member had his own long history. Together though, they found a combination that became far more than the sum of its parts – a sound, heady and powerful, and almost impossible to resist. Elements of rock, jazz, funk, soul, and reggae blend together seamlessly.

“Sunset Coast,” is the latest album, a complete solo effort by original band leader and producer, Peter Jong Chang. Largely guitar-driven, “Sunset Coast” showcases Peter’s talents perfectly. The sound evokes the California coastline that he still considers home, while also bringing in occasional elements of the Southwest, where he currently resides. It’s like instrumental surf-rock with a little jet fuel thrown into the mix.

The title track "Sunset Coast" launches soaring guitar lines that flit between the churning rhythms effortlessly, like a bird. Lead track “Octane” lives up to its name – boisterous and rocking. "Article 1" is like an exotic journey that reels with its relentless, driving beat, while "Coconut" is a fun, tropical groove with power, allure and a hypnotic melody.

Emerge was “born out of a need to create music, not to play to the masses, but to satisfy personal desires for creative fulfillment. Emerge came together as a project about playing and nothing more,” according to Peter. The tradition of diverse styles and eclectic songwriting from the original trio are evident in Sunset Coast as well – this music creates a sonic composition unlike anything else out there. “What attracted me to Emerge is that all the songs are loose yet arranged at the same time,” says drummer Atma Anur.

And that’s the whole point. “From song to song there’s so much variation” Peter says. “It’s not the exact same groove in a different tempo, and the fact that there are all these parts within a given song, you have to really create transitions and it forces you to be on your toes to play this music.”

“Sunset Coast” proves that dynamic creativity can produce amazing music, and crafting amazing music is something Emerge does perfectly.

Fred Hale releases “Diamond in a Haystack” LP album

Singer-songwriter builds musical bridges with latest release

Fred Hale has released a full-length LP that spans multiple genres, each filtered through his own unique style. The album “Diamond in a Haystack,” showcases this vision with a selection of tunes that are sure to please.

For Hale, the drive and passion for music came early, while living in a trailer home on the banks of the Chena River, deep in the interior of Alaska. Listening to “everything from Ravi Shankar to Led Zeppelin” Hale became a musician-in-training at an early age.

The following selection from Hale’s autobiography is taken from the CD’s liner notes:

“I began my attempts playing music with percussion. At that time I had no drums, but imagined that the heavy cast-aluminum pots my mother used for cooking sounded very much like Indian tablas. So I
proceeded with the creative make-do spirit of a 12-year-old, and pretended that the tablas could be instantly mastered by listening to Indian classical music, and by playing along with aluminum pots (the latest convenience in modern cookware). Since then, I have collected many musical instruments and been influenced by many styles. Fortunately, I have kept that 12-year-old’s awe of music, and
continue to be inspired by great musical traditions from ancient contemplative chanting to modern blues, jazz, rock, folk, klezmer, Celtic, and more.”

Hale’s influences are diverse, including artists like the Gypsy Kings, Klezmatics, Al Dimeola, Leo Kotke, Yes, Robert Johnson, Django Reinhardt, Led Zeppelin, The Decemberists, Bob Marley, Damien Rice, and The Beatles. This has surely had an influence on his creativity, and it shows in his approach to “Diamond in a Haystack.”

The first single from the album, “Moonlight and Shadows,” is a perfect example of that creativity. A modernist take on country blues, it incorporates elements that make the song feel like something completely new. It’s a perfect example of Hale’s philosophy, which he describes as “exploring various musical genres and reinterpreting them with a fresh, personal approach.”

Poetik releases debut album, “The Road Less Traveled”

Breakout debut for NY hip hop artist is an emotional journey

New York-born Poetik grew up in Long Island. Hip hop has been in his blood from the earliest days spent listening to artists like Naughty By Nature, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., and others. Music has always helped him get through the hard times and struggles, and now he’s giving back with an album of his own.

“The Road Less Traveled” is an emotional journey. Deeply personal and unflinchingly honest, Poetik invites listeners into a world that most of us only hear about on the news.

“’The Road less Traveled’ is about my life from the time I was a young teen to now, at 20 years old. It is a project I have been working on since I was about 16 or 17. This is a story, and each song is a chapter showing every page is different than the next. If you listen to it you will hear about the extreme drug abuse I have overcome, as well as the deaths of close friends, being institutionalized, politics, heartbreak, falling in love and in general several more chapters explaining just why I am who I am today.”

The beats are minimalist, providing just enough of a backdrop for the lyricism and stories that Poetik deftly weaves with verbal dexterity.

The lead track, “Moving Mountains” has an old school, funk-infused beat that gives the song a dreamlike quality. Ethereal and deeply moving.

The album’s title track features a guest appearance by producer Taino Rosa providing backing vocals. It’s a lonely song, a prayer in the dark. Melancholy laces every line in this story of lost love and heartache.

The Realist, featuring NY emcees N.khilla and Enjetic, is another standout track. With a 70s soul beat, the trio bring a high-energy performance as they take turns dropping lyrical bombs.

“The Road Less Traveled” is a journey through hardship, a chronicle of overcoming obstacles that’s sure to leave an impression.

Jolie Montlick’s “My Song for Taylor Swift” Takes on Bullies, Music Video Goes Viral.

10-year-old Jolie Montlick provides a compelling message of compassion, kindness and hope in her anti-bullying song and music video “My Song for Taylor Swift.”  The video has gone viral and been seen around the world in less than 4 weeks.

Jolie has turned her love of music and songwriting into inspiration and help for other kids in her newly released song and anti-bullying music video, “My Song for Taylor Swift.” The video has gone viral in less than 4 weeks, having been seen around the world in over 100 countries.   The music video recently premiered to a crowd of 10,000 people in Atlanta for October National Anti-Bullying Month, and Jolie appeared live to bring her message of kindness, compassion and hope.  With its catchy tune and cast of over 150, the music video empowers kids to take positive actions in the face of bullying, and to be a friend to someone who is a being bullied. It also honors Taylor Swift, who was once a victim of bullying. Jolie decided to write the song after sitting in the front row of Swift’s “Speak Now” Tour. “I was inspired by Taylor and how she overcame bullying and became such a positive role model. She didn’t let bullying and what others thought stop her from accomplishing her goals,” says the 5th-grader. “I also believe that courage and kindness are contagious, and the more kids lead by example, the more kids will follow.” “My Song for Taylor Swift” is already having a major impact: with its upbeat tune and heartwarming scenes the music video has been used for community and school anti-bullying rallies to show positive examples of actions that kids can take. And kids who have heard the song or watched the video have said things like: “I am not going to be a victim anymore,” and “I am going to speak up the next time I see someone being bullied.” On her website, Jolie writes: “Sadly, over 50% of kids will be the victim of bullying at some point in their life…and what’s even crazier is that something like 85% of the time kids just stand by and do nothing…In the face of bullying, there’s no such thing as an innocent bystander. We all have the power to play a key role in preventing or stopping bullying.” Jolie is taking a leading role in raising awareness of bullying and providing kid with solutions. When she’s not wowing fans, Montlick, along with her sister Nikki, are the national spokespeople for A4K, the Ambassadors 4 Kids Club (a4kclub.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people to speak out against bullying and child abuse. The girls have appeared in numerous television interviews and public service announcements, to promote awareness and help provide kids with the information they need to prevent, stop and report bullying and child abuse. And Jolie is doing more than talking and singing about bullying. She is donating 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of the audio recording of “My Song for Taylor Swift” to the A4K Club to help stop bullying. As Montlick says on her website: “I believe you are never too young to make a difference!” The video can be seen at JolieMontlick.com, and is also available for purchase, along with her other songs, on iTunes, Amazon and other digital distribution sites. Abiogenesis releases “Legacy Of The Mountains” album to critical acclaim

Indian folk-fusion group releases fourth studio album

Abiogenesis is a folk-fusion act that hails from Nagaland, India. It’s no surprise then that their sound can be exotic.

Their reinvented version of folk music is called “Howey Music.” Blending classical Naga folk elements from India and modern music, the result is offbeat, unique, and completely enchanting.

Supporting their new style of music, and enhancing the cleverly-shifting melodies of the modern guitar compositions, is the addition of a Bamhum. That instrument is the brainchild of Abiogenesis’ Moa Subong. The Bamhum’s eerie lingering tones bring an otherworldly quality to “Legacy Of The Mountains” and highlights the group’s fresh take on a classic genre.

For “Legacy Of The Mountain,” the group’s fourth album, the band spent four months in the studio, recording and editing relentlessly. This latest release finds the group relying heavily on guitar melodies with an ethnic touch and feel, tribal rhythms and beats, and of course the bamhum. The band has penned the lyrics with strong focus on social causes, and their message of positivity has never been clearer.

There are three instrumental pieces with the bamhum – “Voices Of Kisama,” a celebration of the Hornbill festival, an annual event in the band’s Northeastern India, “Stroll In The Village” is an ode to the peaceful honest life of those close to the earth, and “Alone In The Wilderness” which joyfully explores the beauty of earth’s natural splendor.

According to the band, ‘World Beneath The Rainbow’ is the title song for their upcoming feature film to be made later this year. There are many big things in store for Abiogenesis. They’ve already garnered a lot of attention, playing over 500 shows in India, Thailand, Bhutan and Myanmar – including a performance for the royal family at the Indian Embassy in Thimpu, Bhutan on Indian Independence Day, 2011. In addition, the band’s last album, “Aeon Spell” was listed for nomination in the 50th Grammy Awards in the Best Contemporary World category. With “Legacy Of The Mountains” they remind listeners just what all the fuss is about.
