Da'Ryian releases single 'Fun'

The pop singer from New Orleans, LA known as Da'Ryian has released the first single from her upcoming CD, titled, “Fun.” The single is the most significant official release from Da'Ryian to date, and stands as her global introduction of herself to the music listening world. A pop song with all the verve and energy of youth, “Fun” stands as proof that Da'Ryian can share the stage with the best of them, and show a couple of new tricks, herself.

“I been singing since I was a baby,” she writes. “My first recording was a cover of a Beyonce song.”

The singer cites as main musical influences such artists as Beyonce, TLC, and Katy Perry. Intuitively, her music falls not far from these trees, and in fact would sit very well between any of them. Extremely danceable and radio friendly, “Fun” is a track that easily boosts activity on the dance floor either at home or at nightclubs.

Asked to expound on the meaning of “Fun,” Da'Ryian's response is appropriately plain. “Kids just want to have fun,” she replies.

Da'Ryian's music is described in her bio as a combination of pop, hip hop, and R 'n' B music. The youngest of three siblings, Da'Ryian was only nine at the time her official artist's bio was written. She is the granddaughter of a popular jazz musician of the New Orleans area. She has performed at the Essence Festival and at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, the latter of which she performed with her grandfather's band. She was a state finalist in the National American Miss Pageant for 2011.

Tor-Arne Riksheim releases new LP 'Shore'

The composer and performer of synth-based music known as Tor-Arne Riksheim has released his latest LP record album, titled, “Shore.” The album is comprised of 12 original compositions for an approximate total listening time of 40 minutes, making for a comprehensive and round treatment of Riksheim material. Tor-Arne Riksheim's “Shore” is a sonic dreamscape originally written as a collection of film scores. However, Riksheim quickly came to understand that his highly creative, uniquely colorful and smoothly elegant music created stories in the mind without the need for visual accompaniment. The media in Riksheim's homeland of Norway have already begun speaking very highly of his new LP.

“Another black metal band, you say?” jokes music critic J.A. Ramsli, referring to the deluge of “black” heavy metal in Norway. “No. Not at all. This is electronic jazz. Tor-Arne Riksheim [was] an old Telco engineer … now he makes music. Excellent music. Get the CD. Really.”

The album elicits images in the mind's eye with arresting clarity. Riksheim's chord progressions are hardly ever predictable, and yet, always seem fitting and intuitive at the same time. The uncanny ability of “Shore” to swoop up the imagination and fly it away to the past, to the future, to seas uncharted and lands beyond the edge of the world, is rooted more than somewhat in the inspirations that guided Riksheim in composing it.

“The album is a project where I was inspired by the traditional hard life at the Norwegian coast,” he writes. Aquatic ebbs and flows populate the record. “Fishing, seamen, weather, storms, beaches, life and death are keywords, even if it’s not always obvious.”

Riksheim cites as main artistic influences such artists as Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Ennio Morricone, Nito Rota, and Klaus Schulze, as well as the library of classical music in general.

A lifelong music artist, Riksheim is remarkably new to synthesized composition, though his “Shore” LP clearly belongs on the top shelf beside well-respected records by artists such as Vangelis and Mike Oldfield.

“Started as a 12 year old in a school brass band on tenor horn,” he writes. “Swapped to trombone and played for many years in brass bands, symphonic orchestras and big bands. Started writing music at about 1982, and went into synths last year.”

CharPa Productions releases seasonal LP 'Celebrating the Holidays with the Lion King'

Thousands of dollars were raised in the sale of the initial CD. With the addition of new Lion King companies, Frank was asked again to record a new CD. DJ Narc releases new single 'Sonic Accelerations'

The international DJ known as DJ Narc has released his latest single, titled, “Sonic Accelerations.” The track is the most significant release from DJ Narc (often stylized, NARC) since his other two late 2013 releases, “Narcharmonic Voyage” and “Narcharmonic Orchestra,” the latter of which was DJ Narc's surprise and popular debut single.

The style of “Sonic Accelerations” remains founded and rooted in the same instrumentation and composition as DJ Narc (full name, Narc Narcisse) has implemented in his other tracks, yet this time, the pounding, pumping rhythms are very outwardly intended for the dancefloor, whereas “Narcharmonic Voyage” was a track listeners could “vibe to in a lounge setting,” and intentionally “something chill,” according to the composer, himself.

This new song, however, writes Narc Narcisse, “...is for sure a party track meant to get people off the seats jumping up and down and of course fist pumping!”

At 128 beats per minute and nearly five minutes' worth of excellent electronic dance listening, “Sonic Accelerations” by Narc Narcisse is sure to get hands in the air.

Narc, himself, is a classically educated man with a great many talents, prominently in the athletic and science fields. His knack for science is touched on by the title of his new piece, as described by the man, himself.

“Basically, I'm a physicist,” he writes. “I got my bachelor of science degree in physics at UCLA in 2001 and taught high school physics (regular, honors and AP physics) at two elite private high schools in West LA. I quit teaching in June to focus more on my music, but the title is basically a shout out to my physics background.”

The physics of the song are broken down thus: sonic = sound; acceleration = the rate of change in velocity.

This is entirely apt for the track, itself, as sonic acceleration is precisely what occurs in the first minute of the track. Having begun with a mellow, pulsing beat, Narc's song builds steadily until it is a heart-racing torrent of tunes. Truly another exciting and fun composition from DJ Narc, “Sonic Accelerations” is not to be missed.

Luna Ciega releases new single 'Mi Corazon Late'

Sigma X81 releases new EP 'Mitsubachi'

He is a popular, well-known and respected musical artist and a Japanese club / street icon. Having previously formed his own band, his solo projects now dominate the bulk of his compositional time.

His music envelops the aggressive style, feel and tone of rock 'n' roll music, particularly late heavy metal elements, and mixes them with heavier amounts of dubstep and “electro” house attributes. Off the Wall Band releases new single 'Aloha Oahu North Shore'

The rock band of surf music known as the Off the Wall Band have released their newest rock single, titled, “Aloha Oahu North Shore.” The song has an approximate total listening time of four minutes, and has been independently released online around the world. A heavy-hitting rock song with elements of classic rock and heavy metal, as well as alternative rock, “Aloha Oahu North Shore” is a track that is not to be missed by rock fans, surfers and non-surfers alike.

The Off the Wall Band is led by the musician, composer, producer and former regional surfing champion from South Brazil known as Manglio Bertolucci. Bertolucci, in addition to having been the first surfer in his state to run the ASP Tour Championship, is also well known for having been the radio broadcaster and DJ in the “Surf About,” a regional classic radio show for surf music and news.

Off the Wall Band cite as main artistic influences such musicians as Wishbone Ash, Spy vs. Spy, and Australian Crawl. Of these, Wishbone Ash features most prominently in their own performing and recording style, particularly in the case of “Aloha Oahu North Shore.”

Off the Wall Band began in 1990 and has recently reformed after more than a decade without new releases. Bertolucci´s songs for the Off The Wall band are mostly about the thrill and joy of surfing, but there are also romantic songs about true love and passion. Until now, their most prominent release to date has been “Hawaiian Dream,” which achieved much regional fame in the 1990s.
