The French composer of EDM known
internationally as DP has released his latest LP record, “House
Vol. 1.” The album contains nine original DP tracks for an
approximate total listening time of 45 minutes. Like the rest of DP's
repertoire, it has been proudly published as an independent title
without the direction of the corporate music industry. Varied,
textured, and bringing the electronic dance sound back to its roots
in the most direct manner imaginable, “House Vol. 1” proves yet
again that DP has more music in his bag of tricks than nearly any
other contemporary artist.
DP (formerly / also known as DJ Pad)
has published more original music since 2012 in any category than 99%
of the world's musicians, and quite possibly all of them. With over
800 tracks under his belt and more all the time, casual music makers
just can't compete with his unheard-of prolific creative output.
He has cited as main artistic
influences for his house music such names as Afrojack, Sebastian,
Swedish House Mafia, Infected Mushrooms, Psycraft, Hallucinogen, ATB,
Cosmic Gate, Atomic Cat and Angerfist, but notes also that Hanz
Zimmer, Mike Oldfield and others inform his music in general.
DP has made a name for himself by
moving through the EDM world one category at a time, leaving behind
him multiple volumes of fresh tracks in each electronic genre. A
classically trained musician since the age of six, he is a virtuoso
accordion player and accomplished hand at music theory. It is this
background which allows him to put his creativity to work in any
digital sound arena in which he currently takes interest.
The “House Vol. 1” LP record from
DP is even more remarkable than if it were merely his first movement
from 800 tracks toward the 900 mark, in that it is his first official
release since November 2016's “Let's Bounce,” a full-length
exploration of Melbourne bounce and epic, sweeping tracks which would
have to sate his fans until this new drop of house music.
What is more, DP is rumored to have yet
more music in the pipeline for Q2 2018. Time will tell.
