The writers, performers and producers
of hip hop known as SB and B Don have released their debut LP album,
“2 Kings on a Throne.” The LP album contains 10 original SB and B
Don tracks for an approximate total listening time of 35 minutes. It
has been proudly published on the Grand Legacy Music Group
independent record label without the involvement of the corporate
music industry. Aggressive, genuine, and based on old-school elements
while bringing something unique into the 21st century, “2
Kings on a Throne” is a rap album likely to put SB and B Don on the
mainstream's radar for fans around the world.
SB and B Don cite as main artistic
influences Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Chief
Keef, Juelz Santana, Chris Brown, A$ap Rocky, Drake, and Jay Z. Their
own sound puts an emphasis on solid beats and lyric gymnastics,
narrating true-to-life stories with a brand of urban poetry that is
all their own. While their focus rests on the lines and rhymes,
however, the production value of “2 Kings on a Throne” still
rates higher than more minimalist records, something SB and B Don
insist upon.
“Always have good speakers when you
listen to us,” laughs SB.
“2 Kings on a Throne” is by no
means the only release from the two artists. Between them, B Don and
SB, now known as Ace Aydan, have over 20 published original tracks
available online today.
Asked to describe the general themes of
“2 Kings on a Throne,” the artists have no problem answering.
SB writes that their new album says,
among other things, “Do your own thing, speak things into
existence, have fun as much as you possibly can, know yourself,
gather yourself with a good team of people, know your past and know
what you want. Be yourself.”
B Don sums it up by saying, “Our
album shares a positive message and it lets the people know that you
can turn your struggles into motivation.”
