Kathryn Rehm Hisaw releases new LP 'An Evening With Kathryn'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The chanteuse from the American Southwest known as Kathryn Rehm Hisaw has released her long-awaited LP music album, titled, “An Evening With Kathryn.” The record is comprised of nine tracks for an approximate total listening time of 25 minutes. It has been released on the Two Chilies Production music records label. A definitive collection of studio performances by the widely and greatly respected singer, “An Evening With Kathryn” is both a remarkable set of vocal renditions and an enchanting introduction to listeners not yet familiar with Kathryn Rehm Hisaw's work.

A songbird in the American traditions of stage and screen, Hisaw is an exceptionally active veteran of both. A born entertainer in the truest sense, she has performed live and for radio, film, and television.

“I have always loved music, dance and acting,” she writes. “I received my AFTRA (American Federation of Television & Radio Artists) dancing in the Don Rickles Special. I also have a SAG card and have worked in numerous movies.”

Nevertheless, Hisaw's heart has stayed true to the musical arts.

“I love music, and [still] more love the extension of creativity one is blessed with,” she writes.

Kathryn Rehm Hisaw cites as main artistic influences Liza Minnelli, Barbara Streisand, Harry Connick, Jr., Jim Brickman, and the Three Tenors. She describes her selections for “An Evening With Kathryn” as, “Easy listening of some current and some past pop songs. [These are] uplifting love songs to brighten people's day or night.”

One song bears personal value to the singer in particular.

“'Danny Boy' was one of my mother’s favorite songs,” Hisaw writes. “She was Irish, through and through.”

Hisaw was born in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from UNLV with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, following the advice of her father. She has at various times been Miss New Mexico, a KOB Golden Girl, Miss NM Key America, and the winner of runway competitions at Models Association of America, NY's Waldorf-Astoria.

Circuit release new LP record 'Codes'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The London music crew known as Circuit have released their newest LP record album, titled, “Codes.” The album is comprised of eight original tracks for an approximate total listening time of one hour. A rollicking, ingenious, painstakingly orchestrated record that draws from nearly every available genre of music, Circuit's “Codes” is an achievement bespeaking musical creative greatness and genuine artistic integrity in its each and every attribute.

Circuit, who boast a whopping nine members, cite as main artistic influences such titans of composition as Bjork, Pink Floyd, Gyorgy Ligeti, Django Bates, and Karlheinz Stockhausen. As likely seems intuitive therefore, their music is intellectually satisfying in the utmost, but also grounded in a carefree, no-frills tone that carries a raw, garage-band feel.

This sonic whimsicality, combined with the complex textures of jazz music and the movement-based composition of classical music, results in a kind of experimental rock that can earnestly be described as an alternative to alternative music, as well as something truly new: alternative-alternative, as it were.

“We are all graduates from different music colleges and universities across the UK and Europe,” Circuit writes, “but our music background is different. Some of us studied jazz, whereas the others did classical music or sonic-arts courses, along with playing for years with other bands – everything from pop, rock, jazz and classical music to free-improv and live music for theatre and dance performances.”

In addition to being musical brain candy (as opposed to brain 'food' – Circuit is more fun) “Codes” by Circuit is a lyrically deliberate and poetic collection of songs.

“The album shares a lot of different messages with its listeners,” they write, “from highlighting the problem of over-consumption and mechanization of all aspects of life in today’s western society, to a piece about Nikola Tesla and his madnesses in relation to his genius side.”

Like a novel by James Joyce, the album is chock full with signs and symbols. Its title is both literal and figurative.

“'The Codes' contains coded messages using 3 different types of codes,” Circuit write of their title track. “'Thank You from the Mountain' is a song using a literal translation from Polish to English as the basis of a word-play, and some surreal confusion caused by that.”

“Codes” by Circuit is available online worldwide. It has been released with an official music video for “Thank You from the Mountain,” viewable from their official website at http://www.circuitmusic.eu/.

Get in early, audiophiles. Indeed, get there hours early.

The official Beef Stew single from “East Side Story,” titled, “Set It Off” made international headlines throughout the hip-hop underground following its release. Royce and Tan release new single 'Bloom'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The composers of electronic dance music known as Royce and Tan (often stylized Royce&Tan) have released their latest single, an innovative, high-energy dance floor anthem titled, “Bloom.” The track is being hailed as a harbinger of this bright new sound out of Montreal, Canada, and as an excellent example of the Royce and Tan repertoire. Having only partnered together in 2011, already their names are being passed around in the professional EDM circles.

“These guys are actually good buddies of ours from Montreal and are doing some really great things,” fellow popular EDM artists the Stafford Brothers have been quoted as saying. Royce and Tan have also received accolades in print from such names in the deejay subculture as Jidax, Adventure Club, and Luke and Skywalker, all of whom have also added R 'n' T's music to their play lists. Other DJ's with Royce and Tan material in their lineup include Deniz Koyu and Charlie Darker.

Royce Groome and Chrys Tan are each Djs and producers in their own rights. They began their music career together supporting acts such as Avicii, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Eric Prydz, Adventure Club, Dada Life, Tommy Trash and many more, during which period they garnered great momentum and fan encouragement. This inertia continues to build with the current, much-awaited drop of “Bloom.”

Speaking candidly of “Bloom” themselves, Royce and Tan write, “The single definitely reflects our sound and our style of writing. It's a mix of electro and pop, with a little twist. We want to give them a taste of what to expect from us in the future.”

Royce and Tan have thrilled audiences time and again at residencies such as the Time Supper Club and the Wood35 Supper Club, both in Montreal. They are the winners of the 2013 Absolut Vodka Mashup competition, and produced their original track, “Atlantis,” for Bud Light and Sensation White Canada. “Bloom” has already gained placement in international commercials that will begin airing in November of this year.

“Bloom” by Royce and Tan is available online worldwide beginning 28 November 2013.

And the Raven releases new LP record 'In Triangles'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The composer of synth and digital music known as And the Raven has released his latest LP album, titled, “In Triangles.” The album is comprised of 11 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 46 minutes. It has been released on the Wolf Sheep Records music label. An arresting, vivifying record that suggests new subgenres of music as much as it crosses their borders, “In Triangles” is not only sure to put And the Raven on the map, but also certain to become one of the most influential electronic records of the modern day.

Toronto's And the Raven is led by mastermind composer, producer and engineer, Brandon DeLyzer, who in his official bio calls the project, “a Hydra-like collaboration of many rotating minds and voices, [which] sustains the raw energy past its roots. Fresh heads, new ideas.” The simile is appropriate because he invites new singers to collaborate with him for each track, and works with them so closely as to literally compose his songs around the feel and mood of the vocalist in question.

“When I clicked with someone,” he comments, “we’d become friends, talk music and ideas. I began to write songs that catered to the singer’s voice and style without worrying about if next song I would write would be too different than the last person I worked with. Either that or I could write a track knowing that I’d find someone soon who would fit it.”

Each singer gets a pseudonym of their own choosing. His And the Raven project originally got its name from the artist attributions, which read, “Petit-Loup and the Raven,” “Cinder, Remington, and the Raven,” et cetera.

“I want The Raven project to be as much about the people I work with as it is about me,” he insists. “No matter how known or unknown the singer is, I make each new vocalist come up with their own moniker, an alter-ego. That alter-ego becomes the focus of the song, which is why that moniker always comes before The Raven in the artist name... The less the project is about me, the more freedom I have to do what I want. It’s a project that can’t run out of momentum. It can’t die.”

The result is a sonic collage that explodes with ingenuity and versatility, yet retains Raven's consistent undertones throughout. His instrumentation is a gorgeous, rare balance of digital and analog.

“One thing I didn’t like about a lot of electronic music,” he writes, “was that it didn’t have the same intimacy as something with real instrumentation. So I started to use '60s amps, Wurlitzers, grand pianos, and rare vintage outboard gear to make my sounds blend together like they would if I was recording a rock band. I wanted it to sound natural.”

“In Triangles” by And the Raven is available online worldwide beginning 22 November 2013. Get in early.

Leigh Schindler releases new single 'Which One'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The universal talent from Southern California known as Leigh Schindler has released her new single, titled, “Which One.” The single is the latest official release from Schindler since her enthusiastically received music-video cover of Amy Winehouse's “You Know I'm no Good,” published in September. The “Which One” single is the first chance for Schindler's steadily growing cadre of fans to purchase and download Leigh Schindler music since her debut 2012 EP, “Self-Titled.”

Schindler cites as main artistic influences such artists as Amy Winehouse, Regina Spektor, The Bird and the Bee, and Ani Difranco. The effect these legends of singing and songwriting have had on her own creativity is evident in terms of vocal style and stage panache, but Schindler's moods often shift more to the alternative rock genre (like Difranco) rather than to the pop-jazz of Winehouse or pop-folk of Spektor.
Her tone is genuine, classy, and often tinged with elements of the blues. For listeners unacquainted with the Leigh Schindler sound, her off-the-cuff video rendition of Duffy's “Syrup and Honey,” shot in a continuous live take with saxophonist Tony Sangiacomo, is a sweetly remarkable introduction. (Another hidden gem, her cover of Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good" with Sangiacomo on sax, Will Borza playing trumpet and Eric Kalver handling percussion, may be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra-mpKYVqjc).

Schindler's lyrical content is often personal in nature. She writes that the themes of her new single, “Which One,” are about, “Those moments in life when your heart and mind don’t agree, making you question your actions and your beliefs. We all have capability of being happy, angry, sad, confused – and we must learn to embrace all aspects of ourselves. Learn to embrace your crazy!”

A born entertainer, Schindler has been making music since childhood. “As a little girl I always used to run around making up songs about anything and everything,” she writes. “Life was a musical and things just fell into place.”

Schindler is perhaps best known for her work in Hollywood as an actress, but her musical career is quickly gaining traction. Born in San Diego, she is a graduate of the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, as well as of the Boston Conservatory of Musical Theatre in Massachusetts, where she first became inspired to begin her musical efforts in earnest.

“Which One” by Leigh Schindler is available online worldwide beginning 22 November 2013.

Triple Threat release new LP record 'Triple Threat Vol.1'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The hip-hop artists known as Triple Threat have released their new, full-length LP record, titled, “Triple Threat Vol. 1.” The record has been released on the Uno Music Group record label. “Triple Threat Vol. 1” is preceded by the popular hip-hop single from the album, titled, “Wildin Stylin,” which began turning heads in the American East Coast hip-hop underground scene in September of 2013.

Triple Threat is the professional stage name of the collaboration which includes Slick Fif, A-Flamez, Steve Young, and Jay Uno.

“Something for everybody on this album,” Uno writes. “[This is a] street record, something to party to, or even something to listen to with your lady.”

True to form, “Triple Threat Vol. 1” has tracks of all shapes and sizes, some as heavy-hitting as pipes on pavement, others as smooth and chill as a Motown soul song.

Triple Threat cite as main artistic influences such artists as the Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Big Pun, Nas, Big L, and Rakim, “just to name a few.” Together, they aim to bring back the traditional hip-hop principles. In a digital world full of wanna-bes with varying degrees of talent, they intend to remind hip hop of its roots in the loudest possible way.

“Hip hop has come a long way since its origin in 1970s Bronx,” their official bio reads. “Today, the world of hip hop is drowning in emcees flooding the internet and news feeds with videos and posts. Neighborhood street corners were once the stage for rap battles, but today with just a click of a mouse, rappers thousands of miles apart can go at it face to face.

In today's hip hop world, you aren’t just competing with the best emcee on your block, but with the best emcees in the nation. Today you have to be a little more than just a 'rapper,' do a little more than just make songs, and think a little broader than your local rap scene.”

Triple Threat is actually a crew created by three US hip-hop companies, Uno Music Group, Loyalty Over Everything and Space Kamp Entertainment.

“We're here to change the game and show that it can be done with the way the hip-hop game has changed,” Uno writes. “So get in tune with these companies, ’cause there’s a lot to come.”

“Triple Threat,” by Jay Uno, Slick Fif, A-Flamez, and Steve Young is available online worldwide beginning 22 November 2013.
