Haks Pheenom has released his newest single, “New Styler (Rough & Ready),” on the heels of his 2012 EP. The success of Haks' Pheenom's last record, the extended play release “Pheenom Strike 0.5,” has colored him with neither arrogance nor conceit. He sports the same healthy, happy-go-lucky attitude he did last fall, and with the accompanying swagger that is part and parcel of the Pheenom personality. “It’s not about just attempting to compete with the 'big shots' and fame,” he writes jocularly, “though I obviously wouldn't say no to pushing a few million units, ha ha!”

Haks' single, “New Styler (Rough and Ready)” contains a message to his fans. He writes of this that he wants listeners to do their best “To be open, and to not segregate. [I want my fans to] be brash and confident in a pleasant way, to reminisce and laugh, to relax and have fun.” He reminds listeners that it's not just what a person does that's important, but precisely how and in what way they live that can make the difference. “Do it always with new style and on the ready,” he writes, alluding to the title of the track, itself. “Do it with new style, and on the ready for whatever.”



Pheenom is well known for writing meaningful lyrics. His rhymes do not at all reflect themes typical of lowbrow urban hip-hop, the usual hos, tricks and bling fare. “For me,” he writes, “it's about creating inspiring music with guidance. [I try to write music] that will invoke inspiration, happiness, a positive vibe.” But Haks is happy to admit that in the end, his music is written for the rhythm and groove of it all. “At a bare minimum,” he writes, “even if one is not a fan of the presented genre, [I want my listeners to] feel the need to tap their feet to the rhythm, or to a feeling.”



A great proponent of the power of belief, Haks Pheenom spends much of his time convincing listeners of their own potential. “My themes and style of music tend to revolve around self-confidence, the assurance that any ambition can be achievable,” he writes. “I find that music constructed with style and passion, thought and emotion can be a great conveyance and motivator for this kind of philosophy, as well as creating an inner warmth and enjoyment.”



If the listener has any doubt, one has only to note the resounding achievement that is “New Styler (Rough & Ready)” for proof. Haks Pheenom is on his way to joining some of the most talented artists in music fame worldwide. His single is released December, 2012.
