The songwriter and
producer of pop music known as Jerk the DJ has released his latest
official EP album, “Pb (Tge)” feat. Anjali World. The EP album
contains three original Jerk the DJ tracks for an approximate total
listening time of 10 minutes. It has been proudly published as an
independent release without the involvement of the corporate music
industry on the Hit Nation Records music label. Soft, sultry, and
bringing a bass-filled back beat that can fill any dance floor, “Pb
(Tge)” showcases Jerk the DJ as one of the most intriguing pop
artists of the year so far and promises that he has plenty more where
that came from.
South Sudan native Jerk
the DJ cites as main artistic influences Calvin Harris, Tupac Shakur,
Usher, RedOne, Lady Gaga, and Timbaland. Jerk's own sound takes
elements from each of these and adds something fresh and unique for a
result unlike anything today's music fans have heard before. With an
emphasis on danceable grooves, fun hooks, and plenty of cultural
color, “Pb (Tge)” by Jerk the DJ has a little something for
everybody.
Asked to describe the
overall meaning of “Pb (Tge),” Jerk the DJ writes simply, “Have
fun and enjoy life!” But there's a little more to it than that.
For instance, there's the
collaboration with Nani (previously known as Anjali World) who is the
daughter of billionaire Vivek Ranadivé, owner of the Sacramento
Kings.
“We teamed up for
this track which is inspired by dating and relationships,” says
Jerk the DJ. “Mainly the tension and uncertainty that comes with
meeting someone for the first time and falling for them, but also
having tension about whether or not things will move too fast.”
Jerk the DJ is a music
producer with the distinction of being the first and only artist from
South Sudan to have recorded in any major Los Angeles studio, let
alone Paramount Recording Studios, Capitol Recording Studios,
Ameraycan Recording Studios, and East West Studios.
