The all-star band known as John Hart
and the LittleJohn Band have released their newest single, “Two
Lovers as One.” The track is the first single from their upcoming
self-titled LP release. The single, like their anxiously awaited
full-length album, is being published on the Wholenessisus, Inc.
music label. A romantic, island-inspired tune, “Two Lovers as One”
features the talents of famous Barbados music man, Mr. Impact. It has
been made available prior to the release of their full-length record
and represents a flawless first taste of what is sure to be a
standout album.
Unlike the rest of the LittleJohn
Band's repertoire, “Two Lovers as One” has a calypso feel on top
of their usual brass-powered, funk-driven jazz and R 'n' B sound. The
result is not unlike music by The Police. Even the vocal stylizings
on “Two Lovers as One” recall the tonalities of pop and
contemporary rock favorite, Sting. The track is cool and mellow, with
a tastefully laid back bass line that moves the song along like rails
for a night train. For many music fans unacquainted with John Hart
and the LittleJohn Band, “Two Lovers as One” will deliver their
first impression. As this early single is just as brilliant and
perfect as everything else the legendary artists of The LittleJohn
Band have recorded, it is an excellent place to start.
