The rock guitarist and
songwriter known as Dan Timofte has released his debut official
album, “Dissenting Time.” The record contains 15 original tracks
for an approximate total listening time of one hour. It has been
proudly published as an independent release without the involvement
of the corporate music industry. Soaring, belting, and screaming at
the top of its voice, “Dissenting Time” stands for all the world
as proof that Dan Timofte can rock with the very best of them.
Dan Timofte cites as main
artistic influences Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Gary Moore, Yngwie
Malmsteen, Carlos Santana, and Eddie Van Halen. Born in 1969, a holy
year to rock fans, Timofte takes the core elements similar to each of
these titanic players and rolls them into an amalgam all his own.
“Dissenting Time” is an instrumental rock record that can hold
its head up with the very best and most popular rock records of all
time.
Asked to describe the
general themes and messages of his “Dissenting Time,” a capacious
record by all accounts, Timofte writes: “Even if we have different
opinions from each other, through dialogue we can reach a pleasant
atmosphere for everyone.”
Dan Timofte bought his
first guitar at the age of 12. Not long after, he was crafting
original songs, a skill he continues to hone to this day. His first
live appearance onstage was at 17 years old. Decades of finely tuning
his skills have shaped Dan Timofte into one of the most talented and
inventive guitarists in independent rock anywhere.
“Since then,”
writes Dan Timofte, “I have continued to compose songs for the
guitar, along with other activities like painting, studying
mathematics or astrology.”
“Dissenting Time”
by Dan Timofte is available from over 600 quality digital music
