The rap duo known as
Michael Heathen and G. Champion have released their latest LP album,
“War of Words: Extended Clip.” The LP has been proudly published
on the G.L.O.A.T. Ent. independent record label without the
involvement of the corporate music industry. Gritty, creative, and
built on a thick foundation of bass and back beats, “War of Words:
Extended Clip” is a hip-hop collection of urban poetry for 2018 and
beyond.
Michael Heathen and G.
Champion cite as main artistic influences Led Zeppelin, Tupac Shakur,
Tech N9NE, Eminem, Pink Floyd, Kanye West, and the Notorious B.I.G.
Their signature sound, however, is not derivative from these legends
but rather a blend resulting in something new all their own. This, in
fact, provides the impetus for much of “War of Words: Extended
Clip” to begin with.
G.L.O.A.T. Ent. writes of
this, “Hip hop is in need of a revolution. Content is being invaded
by nonsense and it has infiltrated the airwaves. We are here to
address the transgressions and begin the path to recovery. -end of
transmission.”
G.L.O.A.T. Ent. was
founded in 2010 by G. Champion and Michael Heathen. Heathen is known
for his work with The Boxer's Brain, performances on the main stage
of the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, headlining sold-out events for DFW
NORML, and for touring with CES CRU of Strange Music. He has opened
for such titans of hip hop as Bun B, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Devin
the Dude, and Cam'ron.
Heathen has officially
released two mixtapes and two LP records. His music is available
anywhere the Internet operates.
“War of Words:
Extended Clip” by Michael Heathen and G. Champion is available
online worldwide from over 600 quality digital music retailers now.
