The songwriters and
producers of rock known as Big E and the Wild Hairs have released
their latest official single, “Kiss of Death.” The single has
been proudly published as an independent release without the
involvement of the corporate music industry on the Silvern Records
music label. A return to the solid foundations of the classic
hard-rock sound, “Kiss of Death” showcases Big E and the Wild
Hairs as one of the most intriguing rock crews for fans of the sound
in a long time and promises they have plenty more where that came
from.
The American south's Big E
and the Wild Hairs cite as main artistic influences several related
legends, including ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Fabulous Thunderbirds,
Rolling Stones, and the Allman Bros. The Wild Hairs' own sound is a
blend of these traditional rock styles with an updated edge which
will appeal to audiences who want extra octane with their classic
material. With an emphasis on groove, licks, and high voltage, “Kiss
of Death” by Big E and the Wild Hairs has a little something for
every rock fan.
As it turns out, this
makes sense. Asked to describe the overall meaning of “Kiss of
Death,” Big E and the WH write, “This song is meant to be the
original essence of rock and roll -- fun, let it fly, turn it up
loud. Mainly, fun!”
It's this last which lies
at the heart of the track – sonic entertainment and plenty of it.
“There are plenty
of things going on in the world and in everyone's own lives that
aren't fun at all,” write Big E and the Wild Hairs. “We hope this
song injects some simple, stomp your feet, bang your head,
sing-out-loud fun into people's lives. We could all use a 5-minute
vacation to just have a blast.”
As stated, they're also
bringing something good from the background into the fore again.
“It's also about
reviving some of that great '70s-rock vibe that people 'of a certain
age' grew up with, songs that made us all feel like we could conquer
the world as long as we had a great song to turn up loud on the car
stereo.”
To state it plainly:
mission accomplished.
