The songwriter and
producer of Afro pop, R&B and soul known as Boman has released
his latest official single, “Company.” The single has been
proudly published as an independent release without the involvement
of the corporate music industry via Pabi Entertainment artist mgmt.
Warm, fun, and endlessly danceable, “Company” showcases Boman as
perhaps the most intriguing pop artist to come out of Nigeria in 2019
so far and promises that he has plenty more where that came from.
Lagos's Boman cites as
main artistic influences Usher, B2K, Micheal Jackson, Bobby
Valentino, Banky W, 2Face Idibia, and Styleplus. Boman's own sound
takes elements from each of these and adds something fresh and unique
for a result unlike anything today's music fans have heard before.
With an emphasis on rhythm, groove, and welcoming singing from the
creative artist himself, “Company” by Boman has a little
something for everybody.
Asked to describe the
overall meaning of “Company,” Boman writes of “The need for
love, trust, happiness and companionship.”
Boman has been earnestly
and enthusiastically playing music since childhood. The art was
inculcated through his sibling.
“The love for
music started through my elder sister,” he writes, “who had all
the songs playing on the radio. I remixed a couple of songs and
started writing songs, recording, and performing.”
