The songwriter and
producer of sonorous experimental music known as Oxnylia has released
her latest official album, “Sovṙeignty.” The album contains 14
original Oxnylia tracks for an approximate total listening time of
nearly an hour. It has been proudly published as an independent
release without the involvement of the corporate music industry on
the Shatabhisha record label. Undeniably beautiful, inimitably
creative, and founded on spiritual and metaphysical principles,
“Sovṙeignty” showcases Oxnylia as one of the most intriguing
independent music artists in recent memory.
Oxnylia cites as main
artistic influences Bjork, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, and Led Zeppelin.
Oxnylia's own sound takes elements from each of these: the space-age
style of the first, the dreamlike quality of the second, and the
rebelliousness of the third and fourth, at the very least. But the
sonic experience itself makes up maybe a third of the avenues
suggested by “Sovṙeignty.”
Taking into account
Oxnylia's extremely deliberate lyric poetry, listeners have the
option to simply melt into them and enjoy their syllabic sound and
meter. Alternately, they supply more than enough food for profound
reflection without suggesting even a hint of debate. What's more,
combined with the ambient, soothing rhythms and chord progressions –
which would make fine songs on their own, in fact – Oxnylia's
lyrics may even be used for meditation. It seems this meditative
quality of her music is intentional, too, considering the fractal and
cosmic imagery on her official YouTube channel, which already has in
excess of 5000 followers.
Asked to describe the
overall meaning of “Sovṙeignty,” Oxnylia writes, “The message
is meant to inspire and awaken each individual's Sovereignty,
reclaiming your human birthrights and liberating yourself from the
Matrix.”
Appropriately titled,
“Sovṙeignty” goes far to inspire such personal liberty, often
exhorting the listener with lyrics such as “Don't let them contain
you.”
Oxnylia proudly and
purposefully composes music in 432Hz (sometimes referred to as
scientific pitch, or Verdi's A after composer Giuseppe Verdi). Her
label, Shatabhisha, is named for the 24th nakshatra in Hindu
astronomy, ruled by Varuna, deity of oceans and of the west.
“Sovṙeignty”
by Oxnylia on the Shatabhisha label is available from over 600
quality digital music stores online worldwide now. Get in early,
