The composer of digital music known
internationally as SimoNoize has released his debut full-length
album, “Outer Sounds.” The record has been proudly published as
an independent release without the influence of the corporate music
industry. It contains 10 original tracks for an approximate total
listening time of 40 minutes. Blending styles and tones ranging from
classical music to modern electronica, “Outer Sounds” is an
instrumental record in which everyone can find something to love.
The Italian-born SimoNoize cites as
main artistic influences a staggering variety: Pink Floyd and Tears
for Fears; Jimi Hendrix and Emerson, Lake and Palmer; the Rolling
Stones and Led Zeppelin; James Brown and Aretha Franklin; Carl
Douglas and Earth Wind and Fire; Rise Against and Metallica; Tupac
Shakur and Eminem; Skrillex and Datsik; even reggae – and of
course, traditional composers such as Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann
and Stravinsky.
“Outer Sounds” arguably has most in common with the EDM artists and classical composers SimoNoize mentions. The record is well-suited as a soundtrack and has been made available for licensing for film, TV, video games, etc. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the musician notes that he's lately been focusing on the works of Hans Zimmer, Harry-Gregson Williams, Ramin Djawadi, and Nobuo Uematsu.
Asked to describe the sound and feel of
his new LP, SimoNoize writes that it “is more a journey, when you
can let music be a part of your moments, your days, your life; you
won’t need to listen to it, you will feel it.”
SimoNoize's LP is preceded by his
“Xperiments” EP (2002) and his “Uplift” EP (2014), both of
which were published via DirectDriveDigital. He has also composed and
produced music for Italian records such as BigUp's “Il grande
salto” hip-hop album, Wolf's “RIParto” hip-hop album, and
Nazario's “Invisibile” pop album.
A composer of particularly evocative
music, SimoNoize has said, “I would like to reach people's feelings
through my music, let them say 'wow, this track makes me feel...'”
“Outer Sounds” by SimoNoize is
available online worldwide beginning 4 November 2015.
