DJ A+ releases new single 'Girl You Feel So Good'

The DJ and performer of music known as DJ A+ has released his latest single, “Girl You Feel So Good.” The track is the most recent official release from DJ A+ and his debut original track to be distributed worldwide. DJ A+ is most well known as a DJ in some of Las Vegas, NV's most exclusive party locations. He commonly mixes percussion instrumentation into his performances, such as bongos, congas and timbalas, and never plays with a set list.

“I'm open minded and spin on the fly,” he told a reporter for Las Vegas Weekly. “Every night is fresh and every crowd is unique. I go with my crowd's vibe.”

DJ A+'s repertoire includes a broad variety of music styles, including electronica, hip hop, house, jazz, Latin, reggae, and rock music. “Girl You Feel So Good,” therefore and unsurprisingly, has flavors of many of these.

His recording skills are trumped only by his live performances, which are too many to count and spread roughly over a six-year duration. Rolly Gibb releases new LP 'We Are the Boomers!'

The singer and songwriter known as Rolly Gibb has released his new LP record album, “We Are the Boomers!” The album is comprised of 13 original songs and a reprise of the popular 1950's single, “You Were Not There” by Jack Ledru, Gibb's uncle. The record contains more than an hour's worth of music and is Gibb's most significant rock-'n'-roll release to date. It has been published on the Eagle Nest Music recording label. A tribute to and revival of the great rock spirit of the 1960s and '70s, “We Are the Boomers!” stands as a reminder that the heart of rock 'n' roll is here to stay, now and forever.

Though the songs on Rolly Gibb's new record are nearly all originals, still each is reminiscent of an echo from the past, one of rock 'n' roll's most striking and historical pieces.

“All the rock bands of the '60s, '70s have a great influence on me,” Gibb writes. “My song creation process starts with a riff that sounds like coming out of the great bands of these years.”

Fans of the Velvet Underground, the Rolling Stones, and others will undoubtedly hear a roar beneath the notes of “We Are the Boomers!” that comes from the same musical soul, the same thrumming thread which blew speakers out and blew people's minds nearly fifty years ago. It is aggressive, groovy, bluesy, and full of soul.

Speaking of the themes with which he has infused his LP, Gibb writes: “It is sharing the love for rock music, the soundtrack of our lives for us Baby Boomers, and also sharing the reality of our present, past and future. By sharing my own emotions and stories in music, I should not only revive the sound of our younger years but also highlight some of my generation’s [perspective] of today.”

One of the album's most touching moments comes at precisely its middle, at its heart, when Gibb's version of “You Were Not There” by his uncle, Jack Ledru begins. The piano for the song comes from one of Ledru's French records of the 1950s, accompanied by his nephew Rolly Gibb on guitar and singing. The English lyrics are Gibb's own, as is the new musical arrangement. It is a deeply touching moment and a work of great beauty. Ledru's original recording could not have been more profoundly moving than this edition, published nearly 70 years later.

Sound of Life releases new EP 'Rain'

The musician known only as Sound of Life has released his debut EP record, “Rain.” The EP is comprised of five original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 16 minutes. It has been released independently of assistance from major music record labels. A gentle, yet emotionally striking extended-play record, “Rain” is one of the most intriguing and startling examples of modern folk music to emerge in recent years, one which is certain to mark Sound of Life as the genre's youngest inspiration.

Sound of Life, from Sweden, cites only Bob Dylan and Bon Iver as artistic influences, yet his sound is absolutely his own. At only 19 years old, his sound is genuine and heartfelt, his songs remarkable in their simple complexities and seemingly casual deliveries. His lyrics are poetic without seeming overworked, almost as if the artist had merely put his thoughts directly into ink and set them to music.

His tones persist in mellow, optimistic chord progressions which contrast against lightly sorrowful and occasionally cynical themes. The chorus from the EP's closing track, “When You Die,” runs:

“What happens when you die? I guess that this is all a show. We're all waiting on death row.”

In the same characteristic fashion, Sound of Life bases his explanation of his “Rain” EP on hues of blue, but not without a streak of daylight amid the clouds.

“Sometimes you feel stuck in rain like you’re walking in quicksand,” he writes of his record. “But if you want to get it done, you can fly right to the sun.”

Speaking candidly of himself, Sound of Life proves incredibly introspective and more than somewhat introverted, as well, both of which his EP communicates.

“I write acoustic indie folk songs,” he writes. “They are about feeling down mostly. My biggest interests are music and politics. I’m walking around in quicksand right now, not moving myself forward. I really want to do something important in life. I don’t really play music anywhere, just at home. Right now I just want to get a girlfriend, play some shows and talk politics really. I guess getting your songs out there is a good first step.”

His final note is both humble and touching.

“I really don’t know what to write, I’m not sensational.”

Without a doubt, Sound of Life is soon to learn what it means to make a musical sensation.

Preme Writez releases new EP 'Love Letter'

The Los Angeles singer and songwriter known as Preme Writez has released his long-awaited EP record, “Love Letter.” The extended-play album is comprised of six original tracks for a total listening time of over twenty minutes. Valleyman releases new album 'Hertzhague'

The long-admired composer of electronic music known as Valleyman has returned with a new version of his 1995 classic record, “Hertzhague.” The record has been digitized at top-quality for download everywhere in the world and is the proud debut release of Belgium's latest and most adventurous music label, Zon Records (link provided below). The 2014 release also includes a bonus track, “Thymus,” a crucial new addition for fans of Valleyman and of ambient electronica in general.

The new “Hertzhague” is a mammoth LP, comprised of 14 original compositions for a listening time of more than an hour. The record has stood for decades as one of the most principle and foundational albums in the electronica genre, and one which no fan of digital music can afford to miss.

Valleyman's sound is described variously as ambient, chillout, or progressive electronica, and sometimes all three, but at the time of its release the term “alternative music” was still the most widely used term to describe such music in the English world. Valleyman's tone has been compared to Pluto and Manuel Gottsching, Colfax, Mijo, Fingertwister, and Elba.

The title of “Hertzhague” is a compound of two words, 'hertz' and 'Hague,' the first of which is the scientific unit of measurement for sound wave frequencies, and the second being the capitol building and seat of government for the Netherlands in South Holland.

Valleyman is the professional name of Peter Velleman. He has also published records under the name, the Launch Project, and to date has four full-length, deeply respected records: “Exe,” first published in 1993 on 49-Parallel Records; “Boatdrill,” and “Angle,” both released on the popular XXP Records label. XXP was also the publisher of “Hertzhague” in its original form. “Managing the Meat” by the Electromen was released on Terminal Antwerp in 2002, and was a Velleman collaboration with the respected electronica composer, Dirk De Boeck. Velleman's talents appear on two De Boeck records to date.

Gospel singer Andre' Williams releases new EP 'Throw it Up!'

Rapper Jok'a releases new single 'D.R.I.V.E'
