Chicago pop musician DJ Scandalous releases new single 'Move On'

The producer and performer of pop music known as DJ Scandalous has released his latest official single, “Move On.” The track has been proudly published on the Breath of Heaven Music independent record label without the involvement of the corporate music industry. Smooth, upbeat, and empowering, “Move On” is a summer anthem which puts DJ Scandalous on the map for 2018 and beyond.

Chicago's DJ Scandalous cites as main artistic influences The Funk Brothers, David Foster, Phil Collins, Kygo, Martin Garrix, Diplo, Kungs, Calvin Harris, DJ Snake, Tupac Shakur, and Nas. As might be presumed from this broad mix of music minds, songs by DJ Scandalous tend to cross EDM sounds with core elements of hip hop for a melange suitable for personal listening on earbuds and inclusion in nightclub playlists alike. He has called this his “Pop Without Limits” approach.

I’m a fan of all genres, but a prisoner of no single one,” says DJ Scandalous.

Scandalous has also said that he intends to do more than simply meld sounds this way. He considers his creative process as “an opportunity to explore our hearts and minds, uniting us and inspiring us, with a heart-to-heart conversation reminding us how art tears down barriers and rejects limits.”

Asked to discuss the over themes or message of his latest single, DJ Scandalous writes: “It's not a message, it's more of a musical conversation, saying, 'I know what you're going through because I'm going through the same right now.' When you listen to the lyrics, it's directed at one person as if that person and I are in the same room.”

Listening to “Move On,” one thing seems certain – the world can expect much more from DJ Scandalous in the very near future.

Move On” by DJ Scandalous is available from Breath of Heaven Music at over 600 quality digital music stores online worldwide now.
