Blake da Burner releases new LP 'Dancing with Satan'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The underground rap artist known as Blake da Burner has released his latest album, “Dancing with Satan.” The LP has been released on the Floodwatch Entertainment music label. A gargantuan and arresting hip-hop album from one of Virginia's proudest, hardest-working and most naturally talented performers, “Dancing with Satan” contains 16 all-new and original tracks for an approximate total listening time of one heavy-hitting, sharply spitting hip-hop hour. In addition to Blake da Burner, the LP also features the skills of powerhouse rappers Hell Razah, Logic, and Mischief.

Blake da Burner is often likened to Wiz Khalifa, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Kendrick Lamar and Two Chains. His rhymes are slick, well-written, and delivered with the style and power that comes from having rhythm and creativity in equal parts. Blake da Burner's lines are witty, intelligent, and often humorous.

His performances on “Dancing with Satan” are truly stunning when his lyrical themes shift to socially conscientious, humanist and political themes, which form much of the basis some of his best material (“90 to Zero,” “New Drug”). The sound of the record varies widely, being often upbeat and excellent party / dance-floor material, but also sometimes profoundly beautiful, full of legitimate urban poetry and personal meaning, backed by some of the best music ever to grace a rap record (“Hallelujah” and “Joke's on You”). An excellent official video for “Hallelujah” has been released for which a link has been provided below.

Blake da Burner's single, “VA Put it Up,” was prominently featured on Hell Razah and Ghetto Government's 2013 mixtape, “Return of the Renaissance,” which also featured tracks by such titans as Ghostface Killah and Automatik, in addition to Hell Razah, himself, previously of the popular Wu Tang Clan affiliates, the Sunz of Man. Hell Razah appears on track 2 of “Dancing with Satan,” “Get this Money.”

“Dancing with Satan” by Blake da Burner is available online worldwide. Get in early.

Trauma Storm release debut LP 'Damage Is Done'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The purveyors of hard rock music known as Trauma Storm have released their debut LP record album, titled, “Damage Is Done.” The record is comprised of 13 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 50 minutes, making for a roundly comprehensive introduction to this electrifying crew from the United Kingdom. It has been released on the Trauma Digital music label. A high-octane, mystifying, melodic and aggressive rock record, “Damage Is Done” stands to prove that Trauma Storm have a combination of power and soul that will knock the wind out of metal fans from around the world.

Trauma Storm cite as main artistic influences an eclectic mix of disparate, yet related sounds. Their official Facebook page shares little about the band's members, history or musical background, but they do take a moment to give a description of their tone.

“Our music is a mix of Nickelback and Black Label Society,” they write, “with a touch of Metallica.”

Though it may be difficult to imagine what a mix like this might sound like, the truth is that the record sounds better than this. Trauma Storm's vocals are far more emotionally profound than those of Nickleback (and at least as skillful as those of Metallica's James Hetfield). Their guitars are soaring and full, like a sonic flood washing through their sound, and their drums are tribal, primal and pounding. Bass lines on “Damage Is Done” move through the scale effortlessly and act as far more than a mere accompaniment to their percussion.

The most impressive thing about Trauma Storm, however, is their sheer honesty. This is clearly a band who cares deeply about the music they're making, and their songs are written with white-hot beats, coldly striking melodies, and the mortality of mankind in mind. Songs like “One Foot in the Grave,” “Droppin' Like Flies” and “Nothing but Ash” have grim undertones, flickering with images of the afterlife. Songs like “Ride the Storm” and “Battlestations” balance this deathly mood with the kind of electricity that makes the listener want to live hard and gloriously, though, and the result is an album hard rock fans absolutely won't want to miss.

“Damage Is Done” by Trauma Storm is available online worldwide.

Tumblewild release debut album 'When the World Had Four Corners'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The indie music duo known as Tumblewild have released their awaited debut album, “When the World Had Four Corners.” The album contains 10 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of half an hour. It has been proudly released on the Tumblewild Music independent record label. An upbeat, quirky and undeniably charming record, Tumblewild's “When the World Had Four Corners” is a sonic steam engine fans of every music genre can get aboard.

Tumblewild's official Facebook page describes their modern western sound as indie, road-trip, country, blues, barn-rock and pop music. That the word 'folk' may seem fitting in there somewhere is due to Tumble's general vibe and overtones, which lie somewhere between the Cowboy Junkies and Chris Isaak with healthy doses of contemporary indie pop for added bounce. Their 19th-century American groove and character are impeccably captured in their recently published music video, “Revenge,” which was shot in a single day near their home in Belgium with the help of friends and no frills whatsoever (link provided below).

True audiophiles will embrace Tumblewild's first record for its sonic purity. Studio effects are sparse and well implemented where present. Instrumentation is both restrained and colorful. No 12-man orchestra à la the Magnetic Zeros, here. Instead, listeners will enjoy a simple tambourine, plenty of acoustic guitars, and an enchanting glockenspiel Evans saved from the dustbin of a local school.

Though Tumblewild's “When the World Had Four Corners” is the first official LP from the group, core members Audrey Evans and Alonza Bevan are far from new to music. The husband-and-wife team are veterans of such popular and renowned projects as the Mediaeval Babes and Kula Shaker, respectively. Their combined accolades include feature-film soundtracks and double-platinum albums, among many others. They are currently preparing to recruit more musicians into their fold.

“When the World Had Four Corners” by Tumblewild is available online worldwide. Get in early.

Bella releases debut album 'Die for Love'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

Bella, a singer and songwriter from Southern California, has released her debut LP record album, “Die for Love.” The album is comprised of 10 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 45 minutes. It is preceded by her promotional publication of the album's title single, “Die for Love,” which also featured an official music video. Bella's music and music video have been released on the L.A. Pop Recordings music label. This first round look at Bella's skill and style in a long-playing format colors her as a creative, classy and multifaceted performer.

“Die for Love” is an album based on romantic themes, of course, but it is much more than only this. Bella's first record has a refreshingly comprehensive variety of tones, ranging from epic ballads to piano waltzes and even one song (“Love Is Just a Beat Away”) which comes delightfully near to an early '60s pop anthem. Bella's naturally pretty voice, combined with her largely unadorned style and intuitive performances, shines in every portion of the record. Each of its 10 tracks are worthy of attention.

The singer has cited Joan Baez, Billy Joel and Elton John as main artistic influences, and elements of each may be noted in her own work. Songs on “Die for Love” are written mainly for piano and guitar, and run the gamut of human emotion. That the record can reach such a wide range of expression and remain consistent is partially the result of top-shelf songwriting, and also because Bella's character and personality glow in each song with equal warmth, pulling them together as if by magnetism.

All in all, “Die for Love” is a beautiful record (another word won't do) and an album which is certain to attach a great many fans to her in a short amount of time. It is available online worldwide. Be sure not to miss her debut video.

Rosa Bird releases new single 'Super Power'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The activist turned musician known as Rosa Bird has released his second official single, titled, “Super Power.” It is the most significant material to be officially released from Rosa Bird since his popular track, “Fluffy Thang,” was published in September of 2013. Like that incendiary single, “Super Power” is an openly adversarial stance against the unjust, illegal and immoral activities of governments and the politicians who operate in them. Specifically, “Super Power” is an aggressive indictment of the warmongering tendencies of the world's political and military superpowers, and of the shallow value systems which drive them to steal resources from the less-defended nations of the world.

Rosa Bird cites as main artistic influences such legends as Art Porter, Pink Floyd, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Cassandra Wilson, Manu Dibango, Metallica, and Kurt Cobain. As may be suggested by his widely varied selections, he appreciates music with rock 'n' roll in its heart and meaning to convey in its lyrics.

“My music is intended to give a different perspective on political and social matters,” Rosa Bird writes. “[I write my songs] to challenge the status quo, 'business as usual' positions and opinions, to speak truth to issues, to promote vertical thought processes for the listener and to initiate social change.”

Rosa Bird's ancestry give insight into his conscientious and courageous personality. He was born in 1960 in Shreveport, LA.

“I am the great grandson of a former slave and Chickasaw woman,” he writes. “My childhood was very fun and normal for rural Louisiana until at the age of eleven a drunk took my mother's life, after which I was publicly sociable yet privately introverted.

“I spent my teen years fishing, hunting, meditating and privately anguishing over the loss of my mother. During this time I became rather spiritual and insightful; I developed an ability to reduce convoluted matters to their lowest common denominator and root cause; my wisdom exceeded my years. I became sympathetic toward the needs of the less fortunate and resentful toward those who systematically misuse them.”

Rosa Bird is a graduate of Grambling State University and a veteran of the US Army. A serious scholar of the Christian Bible, he disavowed organized religion in the 1980s.

He speaks of the theme of his new single, “'Super Power' is intended to direct attention to President Eisenhower’s warning against the dangers of a military-industrial complex.”

“Super Power” by Rosa Bird is available online worldwide. It is not to be missed.

South Side Exiles release debut self-titled album

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The Chicago rock crew known as South Side Exiles have released their debut, self-titled LP record, “South Side Exiles.” The album is comprised of eight tracks for an approximate total listening time of half an hour. It has been released proudly and independently on the Eternal Return Records label. South Side Exiles play original songs written and performed in the classic American style of the 1970s rock tradition, and their debut LP stands as proof that the old sound is just as charged and solid as it ever was.

South Side Exiles (often stylized SouthSideExiles) cite as main artistic influences the Beatles, Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, the Faces, Humble Pie, Lou Reed, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, Joe Strummer, and Tim Armstrong. Their album exhibits many of the best qualities of this rock melange, particularly in terms of rhythm and a healthy dose of blues undertones. Their debut record develops its rock via a consistently dependable roll, a return to the deep groove that was the backbone of the genre until heavy metal took precedence in the '80s.

The band's official bio reads, “The SouthSideExiles are a Chicago-based vintage '70s rock and roll band. Our original songs are based on melodic riff guitar and lyrics that speak of everyday life, work, love, desire, and the hope of something better.”

Their album is easily accessible to fans of all kinds of music. Its tones are deep and warm, its style confident and cool. The skill of each member of South Side Exiles is obvious, impressive and perfectly executed. Their chops, their bio points out, were developed over decades of playing on Chicago's famous Archer Avenue.

The South Side Exiles motto, emblazoned across their official Facebook page, reads: “Don't look back. Only rock and roll can save you now.”

South Side Exiles are Eddie Grzyb (percussion), G. Nawrocki (guitar / vocals), Nick Grzyb (bass guitar), and Bob Raudys (keys).

Gianez releases new album 'Lo-Fi'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The composer and performer of digital music known as Gianez has released his latest and greatest LP record album, “Lo-Fi.” The album is an immense and widely varied offering, comprised of 18 complete and original tracks for a total listening time of more than an hour and 15 minutes. It has been released on the Miami Music record label. In addition to the many talents of Gianez, himself, the record also features performances by popular artists such as Christen Latham and Aleisha Legair.

“Lo-Fi” is a dance, pop, and electronica album with elements of hip-hop and Euro house added for texture. It is energetic, stylish, easy to get into and easier to dance to, with plenty of deep grooves and high moments to keep the party rolling on every dance floor in the world. The title of the record, “Lo-Fi” (audiophile slang for low-fidelity) is intended to evoke the impression of old-school music roots and fundamental back beats, both of which Gianez's new LP sports in spades. It is not to say that the album is itself recorded at low fidelity, however – “Lo-Fi” is an extremely cutting-edge and razor-sharp digital dance record.

While Gianez (sometimes listed online as @GianezMusic) hasn't distributed any material previous to his “Lo-Fi” record, this first official taste is certainly enough to form a round and favorable opinion of his material, as it is more than the standard length of a double-LP record and represents a gargantuan triumph of musical creativity few musicians ever accomplish.

Gianez's dance masterpiece, “Lo-Fi” is already turning heads worldwide, and has been making the rounds in underground circuits both in Europe and the United States. In any case, it seems certain that “Lo-Fi” is not the last we will hear from dance electronica composer Gianez.

“Lo-Fi” by Gianez is available online everywhere.
