The rapper and songwriter of hip hop
known as Lu Sloan will release his latest rap anthem, “It Ain't
Nun.” The track has been produced by Boogie Beatz and will be
published under the Bang Bang Music Group independent record label.
“It Ain't Nun” is slated to be the most significant official
single from Lu Sloan since his popular “Bend Over and Twerk (feat.
Kia Shine),” which appeared in fall of 2013. “Bend Over and
Twerk” was preceded by a pair of 2012 singles, “All I Know” and
“Close Up,” the trio of which helped pave the way for the
impending drop of “It Ain't Nun.”
Lu Sloan cites as main artistic
influences such hip-hop artists as Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre,
Michael Jackson, Master P., T.I., UGK, Jay-Z, P. Diddy, and 50 Cent.
In addition to these, Sloan also endorses various non-hip-hop music
acts like MGMT, U2, Cold Play, the Bee Gees, and the Whispers. As a
result, his hip hop is clever, unpredictable and multifaceted, as
well as legitimately reflecting some of the grittier facts of life in
urban America.
“I've been around a lot of talented
people that were in my family,” Lu Sloan writes, “and they never
really wanted to pursue the dream as much as I do. So that inspired
me to get involved in music and team up with business partner Kris
Pendleton and start Bang Bang Music Group. I want to give it all I've
got!”
With powerful drive in the face of
adversity like his, it should come as no surprise that Lu Sloan's
single has a theme which is closely related. The artist writes that
“It Ain't Nun” is about “The ups and downs on the road to
success for a man with so much against him.”
Sloan has shared the stage with
top-billing names like Rick Ross, Juicy J, Yo Gotti, Big K.R.I.T.,
Migos, and others. His upcoming LP, “The Flood 2,” features
performances by Young Nation and Magnolia Chop, and that's just
what's in the works presently.
“It Ain't Nun” by Lu Sloan, prod.
by Boogie Beatz, is available online worldwide.
