Hedges releases new LP 'Paranoia Destroyer'

The eclectic music artist known only as Hedges has released his latest official LP record, titled “Paranoia Destroyer.” It is comprised of eight original tracks for an approximate total listening time of half an hour. Rocking, grooving, insanely imaginative and endlessly fun, it stands as a brilliant example of what Hedges is capable of, and as a sign that there are likely many excellent things still to come from this mysterious pop musician.

Spanning whole genres and staunchly resisting categorization, “Paranoia Destroyer” is perhaps best pigeonholed as alternative pop rock with elements of electronica, though this too falls far short of a round description. Many of its tracks are relatively short (about two minutes), giving the record a whimsical, fly-by-night feel. It variously recalls bands like the Flaming Lips, Public Image Ltd., and even Prince, to name a few.

Hedges, himself, cites as main artistic influences extremely disparate bands, such as the Beatles, Duran Duran, Metallica, Jean Michel Jarre, Led Zepplin, the Cure, Nirvana, Pendulum, Judas Priest, and Bob Marley.

When asked to describe how it was that he became involved with music, he replies,

“When I was born, I started singing instead of crying when they slapped me.”

Regarding the themes and messages his album might have in store for listeners, he writes the following

on three separate lines, here faithfully reproduced:

“Hope and despair.
Truth and lies.
Fulfillment and denial.”

Hedges was originally part of the popular New Zealand band on Hark Records, Tetnus, whose music was widely acclaimed on both radio and television in the late 1990s. Since that time he has recorded fully 11 albums at his home music studio. “Paranoia Destroyer” is the first of these records he has made publicly available.

“Thought it was time I shared something with the world so people could enjoy what I do,” he writes candidly. “I am unable to stop writing songs. It is not a conscious choice; I just always end up doing it.”

Crowdburn releases new album 'Ignition'

The heavy metal crew from Umeå, northern Sweden known as Crowdburn have released their newest album, titled “Ignition.” The album arrives to the clamor of a slavering cult following both at home and abroad, and has already garnered an impressive amount of attention from metalheads everywhere. Crowdburn are known for their signature style, which is a contemporary take on several older subgenres of heavy metal. Primal NAAD releases new single 'Breathe'

The Los Angeles social worker and musician known as Primal NAAD (Kiko Ellsworth) has released his new single, “Breathe.” The single is the latest and most significant musical release from Ellsworth to date. It has been released on the You Inspire Me, Inc. music record label, and is tied to a larger work from Ellsworth titled, “The Great Awakening.” An inspirational work of adroit musical positivism, “Breathe” by Primal NAAD is a spiritually aware track with an enervating back beat and solid hip-hop vocal delivery.

“Naad” is appreciated by the Hindu world as a form of musical yoga and translates directly as “sound.” Though his professional name is officially Primal NAAD, the artist is more easily located in the media and online as Kiko Ellsworth. Ellsworth cites as main artistic influences the likes of gentle legends such as Harry Belafonte, Bob Marley, Jim Morrison, and the East-Indian saint, Mahavatar Babaji. Babaji is most revered for his unallayed pursuit of self-realization.

Ellsworth recounts the beginning of his musical journey with something akin to Babaji's experiences.

“For months I was doing early morning yoga with meditation, breathing techniques and chanting,” writes Ellsworth. “Before I knew it, my voice changed and the creativity started flowing. The music came.”

Upon being asked to explain any inherent message his new single, “Breathe” might have in store for listeners, he communicates clearly and concisely.

Kiko Ellsworth is a native of Los Angeles and never expected to be part of the entertainment industry. ‘Bad Boy’ Troy Tipton releases new LP 'Standing in the Shadows'

The singer and songwriter of rock music known as “Bad Boy” Troy Tipton has released his latest LP record, titled “Standing in the Shadows.” The album is comprised of eight original tracks for an approximate listening time of 30 minutes. It has been released on the SMT Records music label. A modern taste of the stadium rock sound with a dose of country-western, “Standing in the Shadows” is an epic example of the American rock 'n' roll spirit, filled with octane and heat, heart and soul.

Tipton's style of songwriting is widely varied on “Standing in the Shadows,” and showcases a broad scope of tones and tempos. The opening track, “Triple X Whiskey” even boasts a surprisingly jazzy melody riff in the country/rockabilly mode. His singing is reminiscent of Jon Bon Jovi's, and his guitar work is marvelous and unique to him, full of flair and character. His instrumentalists are likewise top-notch, the band respectively featuring Eric Brittingham of Cinderella (bass), Kevin “Bushman” McKenney of Days of the New (bass), Michael Hodges of David Bowie (drums), and Garfield Redden of Tommy Tutone (drums).

Intuitively, the studio crew for “Standing in the Shadows” is of a similarly high caliber. The record has been produced by Erwin Musper, whose credits include names such as Def Leppard, Scorpions, Van Halen, and a slough of others. Engineering was performed by Gregg Pressler, who has worked with Steven Adler, Warrant, Every Mothers Nightmare, etc., et al.

Having been inspired to make music by seeing the Beatles take the stage on the Ed Sullivan Show, “Bad Boy” Troy Tipton began a lifelong music career at age six. He cites as his main musical influence, father Sonny Tipton, mentioning others as an afterthought. These secondary inspirations include Jimmie Page, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Farner, Paul Rogers, and Jeff Beck.

Tipton has shared the stage or opened for scores of titanic rock bands. Ladaryl Raynard Rose releases new LP 'I Rose'

The rapper and singer-songwriter of hip-hop music from southeast Arkansas known as Ladaryl Raynard Rose has released his newest LP rap record, titled, “I Rose.” The album is comprised of 10 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 45 minutes. In addition to the considerable talents of Ladaryl Raynard Rose, himself, “I Rose” also features the skills of such musicians as Stephey, Angel Joy, Kate Walsh, and John Andrews.

Having been asked to cite some of his main musical influences, Rose writes, “All artists influence me, some more than others, of course. Some for different reasons. I’m inspired by those that tell the listener more about their personal life. I feel like those are the ones that are a vital part of the evolution of humanity.”

Like many of the best music artists in history, Rose's creative clout comes at least partially from having had a complicated youth.

“I started out like any other artist,” he explains. “Initially [I was just] a listener. However, I didn’t grow up in households that practiced effective communication. Soooooo… I started writing music for a therapeutic release. I guess you can say [it's] like a journal to learn about myself.”

In time, however, the journal seemed too important to keep to himself. Rose eventually “decided to boldly share it with everyone else.”

Rose has been writing and performing hip hop since his teens. Soon he took to music production, and produced many artists from all areas of the United States. Then, after successfully completing countless projects, he took a decade's hiatus.

“During that time, a lot of personal growth occurred,” writes the rapper.

He obtained his degree in computer electronics engineering and technology, and formed Amartyr Records soon afterward. The properly titled “I Rose” is the flagship first release of the record label.

“My aim is to give you an unprecedented part of me,” he says of these lofty aims.
