Crowdburn releases new album 'Ignition'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The heavy metal crew from Umeå, northern Sweden known as Crowdburn have released their newest album, titled “Ignition.” The album arrives to the clamor of a slavering cult following both at home and abroad, and has already garnered an impressive amount of attention from metalheads everywhere. It has been released with two official music videos from the album, “Confronted” and “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” which have a combined total viewership of over half a million before the record has even been released. A high-octane, roaring, soulful show of musical aggression, “Ignition” by Crowdburn is certain to take this Nordic team of titans all over the globe.

Crowdburn are known for their signature style, which is a contemporary take on several older subgenres of heavy metal. Their sound takes elements from traditional speed and thrash metal, hardcore, punk rock, grunge rock and screamo, and adds to this amalgam certain attributes that are all their own.

A fine example of this innovation is their runaway hit single, “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” which is a cover of the Skrillex dubstep song of the same name. On this track Crowdburn interlace electronica melody lines with heavy metal instrumentation in a way never heard before. In this way they infuse much of their music with character that separates them from an ocean of “me-too” metal acts, and are quickly beginning to lead the pack in the race to make the hardest rock album of the year.

Crowdburn is already making rounds on international radio stations, and Metalmouth.net has selected “Ignition” as their album of the week, touting their single, “Burning Crowd” as one of the possible selections for their Song of the Year. The track was also featured on UK magazine Metal Hammer’s “New Guard CD,” signaling Crowdburn's rise to one of the world's 15 hottest new metal bands.

Crowdburn cite as main artistic influences bands like Metallica, Pantera, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, Meshuggah, and Devin Townsend.

“Ignition” by Crowdburn is available online worldwide beginning early-mid October.
