The rapper from Paducah, KY known as
Luciano has released his latest, most significant official record
album to date, titled, “Untraveled Road.” The album is comprised
of 11 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 40
minutes. It has been released on the Tate Music Group music record
label. A straightforward, intelligent and aggressive hip-hop album
from the heart of an American homegrown in the heart of America,
“Untraveled Road” is one of today's most impressive and flawless
releases in the genre this year.
Luciano's record is widely varied and
shows a broad understanding and appreciation for music in general. As
a result, his songs are sometimes in the East Coast style, sometimes
West, and sometimes graze the mode of hip-hop commonly referred to as
the “Dirty South” sound. His music occasionally utilizes elements
of pop, sometimes rock, and even slows up for a deep groove on the
closing track of the record. A full play through of “Untraveled
Road” presents myriad colors and emotions for the listener to dig
through, as well as some of the best back beats, rhymes and lines
this side of the Mississippi.
Luciano (not to be confused with rapper
Lucky Luciano) has been writing music since the age of 13. Having
begun his music career by writing poetry, he eventually graduated to
rap by incorporating beats to his writing. His official bio states
that his themes are “motivated by the economic problems in the
world today, as well as his life journey through good times and bad.”
Also according to the bio, “Josh Luciano grew up in an
Italian-American household that strengthened his character and his
musicianship. When he first started writing music, it was a way for
him to vent out all of his problems.”
