The rap crew from Chicago known as D
Boys have released their latest single, titled, “Loud.” The
single has already been featured on compilation mixtapes, featured on
national and international radio stations, as well as in urban
underground clubs and hotspots worldwide. It has been released on the
up-and-coming N the World Entertainment music records label.
Chicago's D Boys are comprised of
rappers Fresh, Darkskin, and Izm. They cite as main artistic
influences such hip-hop legends as Too Short, Scarface, Bun B, Pimp
C., Spice 1, Rakim, B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, A-Z, and Tupac Shakur, as
well as such artists as are published on labels like Rap-A-Lot
Records, Bad Boy Records, No Limit Records, Cash Money Records, Koch
Records, etc.
Their debut mixtape, “Lab Work Vol.
1,” garnered widespread critical and fan acclaim and has been
gaining momentum since its release. It has been featured on WGCI’s
DJ V Dub’s “We Affiliated: NATO.” This first LP release was
hosted by Yo Gotti and featured fellow Chicago headliners Chief Keef
and King L. Their second LP, “Lab Work Vol. 2,” was released in
fourth quarter 2012.
D Boys label N The World Ent. is
popularly vested in community event organizing, and as such the D
Boys are also socially involved. NTW sponsors an annual 4th-of-July
celebration for the neighborhood children near Jesse Owens Park in
the city of Chicago. N the World has been busy sponsoring basketball
and other sporting events for 2013, open to the neighborhood children
as an alternative to street violence.
NTW and the D Boys have been noted as
saying, “The world can look forward to original visuals, music, and
events from the NWT family and movement in 2013.”
