FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –
The country music artist known as Tim
Ash has released his new EP record, titled, “Round 3.” The album
is comprised of six original tracks for an approximate total
listening time of 20 minutes. It has been released on the A&M
Productions, LLC music record label. It is the precursor to his
upcoming LP record, “Up on Blocks,” due out in fourth quarter
2013.
Tim Ash cites as main artistic
influences such bands as New Grass Revival, the Little River Band,
Three Doors Down, and Tim McGraw. On these basic foundations Ash has
constructed a surprisingly unique form of modern country-pop that
enfolds elements of rock, indie, pop, country, and bluegrass.
Ash is a musical autodidact and is
self-taught on guitar, piano, bass and drums, all of which he learned
to play by ear alone. He had mounted the stage for his first solo
musical performance at the family church, age 3. He is originally
from Bridgeport, IL, but his family moved often. He has remarked that
growing up as “the new kid” helped him to become “a person who
has never known a stranger.” The church being important to his
family, Ash proclaims himself to be a man of faith.
This faith came very much into focus in
2000 when he was struck down by half-a-ton of steel and terribly
injured. He was unable to return to his usual life until after 16
months of brutal therapy and rehabilitation. Soon afterward, he
returned to music.
Since that time, he has been a desired
commodity in the country music scene. A string of talent shows and
musical competitions across the Midwest led him to the 2004 CMA Music
Fest in Nashville. Tim opened for Travis Tritt’s “Grill for the
Thrill” tour that same year, and has appeared with some of country
music’s biggest names, from Keith Urban to Rascal Flats.
