Feast Eternal releases new EP 'Forward Through Blood'

The band of heavy metal musicians known as Feast Eternal have released their long-awaited EP record, titled, “Forward Through Blood.” The album is comprised of four original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 20 minutes, making it a fairly comprehensive EP release and a fine introduction for new listeners to this veteran heavy metal crew. “Forward Through Blood” is a genuine, heavy-hitting incarnation of old-school metal music ideals, one that fans young and old will appreciate from their adrenaline-spiked arteries to way down deep in their bones.

With an inception date of 1991, Feast Eternal has a legitimate claim to the heavy metal dominion. Their 1999 record, “Prisons of Flesh” is widely regarded as a cult-classic and a staple of the heavy-metal music underground. Showcasing Feast Eternal to be a surprisingly melodic metal band with a steadfast commitment to the traditional metal sound, this '99 album was re-released in 2007 and quickly followed by 2007's “With Fire” LP. “With Fire” saw Feast Eternal's triumphant return both onstage and on college and independent radio circuits, and assured their loyal following that new Feast Eternal music would stay true to the old sound. With enthralling, spooky guitar riffs and melodies in this same characteristic mood, “Forward Through Blood” has proven it.

Feast Eternal cites as main artistic influences a broad variety of rock bands, such as Black Sabbath, Carcass, Bolt Thrower, Iron Maiden, Hypocrisy, and Rush, or as the band puts it, “from classic to classical.” Their lyrical themes vary, but their principles are clear and clearly stated. Eternal Feast writes of this:

“As it always has, our new material reflects Feast Eternal’s commitment to, and love for, excellent metal. It also reflects a passion for freedom and liberty, as well as our core beliefs of salvation through Christ. Not in any way claiming to be preachers, we're just a band committed to playing excellent extreme metal with an extreme message.”

Though “Forward Through Blood” is certain to slake the thirst of fans for the time being, fans will not have to wait another decade before new FE material appears on an official LP release. A new full-length record is currently in the works and slated for a late 2015 publication.

In the meantime, “Forward Through Blood” by Eternal Feast is available online worldwide beginning 18 October 2013.
