Euler releases new LP record 'Shotgun Tuesday'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The band known as Euler has released their new LP record album, titled, “Shotgun Tuesday.” The album is comprised of 11 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 50 minutes. It has been independently released to broad critical and fan acclaim, and has catapulted Euler into the international spotlight from their home base in the United Kingdom. “Shotgun Tuesday” is Euler's sophomore release and comes three years after their debut record.

The sound of “Shotgun Tuesday” is contemporary, yet fecund with classic rock, indie rock, alternative rock and synth pop attributes. They variously boast sounds akin to the Beatles, the Clash, EMF, Echo and the Bunnymen, Morrissey, and later bands such as the Libertines and Vampire Weekend. Their tone is all their own, however, clean and pure, unabashed, direct and pared down to the bare riffs, grooves and melodies. Their hooks dig in deep and spin inside the listener's head for hours after the album is over, yet the record never gets overplayed or dull. It is pop rock for the thinking person, creative, upbeat music without frills and unnecessary adornments. Their themes are blue-collar and personal, as well as interpersonal.

Euler is a five-piece rock crew formed of Chris Baines (Keyboards), Chris Baker (Lead Guitar), Dan Hodgson (Drums), Matt Foulkes (Vocals, Guitar), and Martin Peden (Bass). They take their name from the 18th-century mathematician, Leonhard Euler, who in addition to pioneering the mathematical function as it is known today, also practiced mechanics, fluid dynamics, optics, and astronomy. They have performed at scores of popular venues in the UK and have been featured by Dan and Chris on the BBC Nottingham David Jackson show.

Speaking of their record for themselves, their official band website announces triumphantly, “The band have delivered an album for these times and are determined to rock you out of the recession.”
