House of Goon release debut EP 'Up in Smoke'

The hip-hop duo known as House of Goon have released their debut EP record, “Up in Smoke.” The album contains five original House of Goon tracks for an approximate total listening time of 20 minutes. It has been proudly published on the Haas Attack Records independent music label without the direction of the corporate music industry. Packed with beats, exceptionally well written and sporting some of the best performances and studio production in the independent scene today, “Up in Smoke” by House of Goon is easily one of the best rap records of 2015 so far.

House of Goon are rappers Ace and I'm S. They cite as main artistic influences such rappers as Wiz Khalifa, Young Thug, Lil' Wayne, Drake, and Big Sean. Their own sound is razor sharp, quick witted and lyrically focused, with lots of space in the back beat and musical accompaniment so their lines and rhymes are always clearly heard. This skillful, top-shelf combination of qualities makes for a rap EP that is consistently good for repeat plays and never gets tired.

House of Goon were signed to the Haas Attack label late in 2014 and went to work on “Up in Smoke” immediately. A handful of months later, and the album is a reality. This work ethic is one of House of Goon's best attributes, as it means fans have plenty of music coming to them from the duo over the next few months, as well as exciting live shows in the Omaha area and elsewhere.

Their official SoundCloud page currently features three tracks available for listening, including two tracks not on their EP: the booming homage, “Hailey,” and popular debut single, “About It” [link provided below]. It also showcases “Up in Smoke”'s opening track, “Howitzer,” which has been receiving radio play on premier hip-hop stations such as Power 106.9FM, Omaha and shaping up to be their most prominent single to date.

House of Goon's Ace and I'm S connected through a mutual love of rap music when they met at the Defense Language Institute in 2010. Their daily R 'n' R consisted largely of freestyle rapping, and it quickly became obvious that there could be more to their pastime than mere fun. They remained in contact throughout their military careers and reunited to form House of Goon as soon as their military tours were complete. Their record label picked them up soon after.

The “Up in Smoke” EP by House of Goon from Haas Attack Records is available online worldwide. Rap fans should definitely get in early.
