The singer and songwriter from Oakland,
CA known as Anthony D. Harrison has released his latest single, “I
Would.” The single has been published on the Image Maker Records
music label. It is the most significant release from Harrison since
his summer 2013 single, “Freebird,” which turned heads from coast
to coast. A contemporary R 'n' B song with classic inspirations, “I
Would” is certain to enthuse fans of rhythm and blues, cool jazz
and soul music alike.
Anthony D. Harrison cites as main
artistic influences such legends of yesteryear as Marvin Gaye, Luther
Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Earth Wind and Fire, and Cameo. His
signature style is a refreshing return to the golden-voiced era of
original R 'n' B artists, when the sound was still being forged and
listeners around the world were being moved in ways music had never
accomplished before.
“I Would” is a track which seeks to
ease the troubles of impoverished and downtrodden people everywhere.
Speaking of the themes of the single, Harrison writes, “This single
is a song dedicated to the whole world, about how we wish we could
help everyone in need in some small way – through a beautiful
song.”
Harrison's own sound is supported by
songwriter and musician, Elroy “Thaproduca” Jackson, through
whose pen “I Would” was created specifically for Harrison's
voice. The duo promise also to publish a third original single track,
“Happy Anniversary,” in June of 2014. Official videos for both “I
Would” and “Happy Anniversary” are already available to the
public for viewing online.
Anthony D. Harrison's official bio
describes him as an “Oakland, California native, who has been
singing since a very early age. His journey through the music world
has led him on a very magical ride. He has performed with some of the
best male groups as he grew into a finished product. Now he has taken
all his years of experience and put them into his present project,
and magic has been made.
“Anthony Harrison now resides in
Texas, and a few years ago he was introduced to a writer/lyrist, and
song producer by the name of Elroy Jackson 'Thaproduca' as he is
called by friends in the music industry. A friendship quickly was
formed and the approach both these men was fond of in music was
incredibly the same.
“Thaproduca wrote the songs and
Anthony sang them. The partnership blossomed and now both are ready
to bring back the smooth, sultry, harmonic sounds of yesterday with a
blend of today.
'I Would' is the third release from
Anthony D. Harrison with many more to come.”
“I Would” by Anthony D. Harrison is
available online worldwide. Watch for “Happy Anniversary” in
June.
