The producer and songwriter of
electronic dance music known as Rick Tarbox has released his latest
official single, “Ride On” featuring Johnny King. The track is an
upbeat, vivifying digital track composed and produced in the original
tradition of the best house music ever created. “Ride On” has
been published in both a standard and extended mix, the latter of
which scores the listener nearly 10 minutes of energetic dance floor
fuel. Pulsing, pounding, thumping and jamming, “Ride On”
featuring Johnny King is the latest example of what Rick Tarbox is
capable of at any given moment.
“Ride On” comes to fans of the EDM
and house-music sounds courtesy of Tarbo Records, the same umbrella
under which Serafia's “Touching My Soul” single appeared on 1 May
2015 just days prior. Like Serafia's popular tune, “Ride On”
brings a warmth and power to the turntable that isn't found in just
any track that drops anymore.
Speaking of this, producer and Tarbo
Records exec. Rick Tarbox writes, “'Ride On' is the beginning of an
uplifting series of songs with a positive message. It is soulful
house mixed with deep house and fantastic vocals in the soul style by
Johnny King.”
No stranger to the music scene,
himself, Johnny King is brother to famous disco and post-disco
diva
Evelyn “Champagne” King, whose “Shame” single landed her on Billboard's Top 10 in 1977, and whose “Love Come Down” and “I'm in Love” were likewise ubiquitous in the days before house music ruled the nightclubs.

While Rick Tarbox will be a new name to
many audiophiles around the world, he is a hero to many listeners and
longtime fans who consider him one of the most important names in
dance music production. Tarbox started his music career in earnest at
the age of just 22 when he began writing and producing for Motown
Records. In time he would go on to produce approximately 50 albums
for Motown and other major labels including Polydor and RCA among a
great many others.
If “Ride On” is any sign, Tarbox
clearly isn't slowing down any time soon.
