Deox-5 releases new EP “Unified Duality”

Deox-5 (often stylized DEOX-5) has released his newest EP album, titled, “Unified Duality.” Although the extended play release contains only four tracks, the album spans a good 22 minutes' worth of playing time, and each of these original songs are entirely new releases from Deox-5, none of them being remixes of the same (or previous) material. This makes “Unified Duality” the most comprehensive and definitive official release the public will have seen from Deox-5 to date.

This is groundbreaking news for the trance and electronica underground, since this digital artist from the Montreal area has been composing music for over 13 years.

“Ever since I first heard trance when I was 12,” writes Deox-5, “I always wanted to do some great trance myself.”

“Unified Duality” is therefore the realization of this dream, many years in the making, though the quality and flow of each magnificent dance track will convince hearers that writing amazing music comes as easily to Deox-5 as breathing. Chances are, however, that he has put his heart, mind and soul into this work, the evidence of which postulation is to be seen in the uniqueness of the melody lines, the supple whumps of the back beat that are perfect in timbre and tone in every way, and in the traditional feel of the work entire. This latter attribute is something that cannot be faked, and indeed, it is deliberate in the extreme.

“My EP is a tribute to trance and its evolution over the past decade,” says Deox-5, “its evolution from classic trance, uplifting and melodic, to aggressive, progressive trance.”

He names as main musical influences famous musicians such as Armin Van Buuren, Andy Moor, Markus Schulz, and Heatbeat, among others. He is a graduate of East Montreal's Musitechnic sound engineering school. “Unified Duality” is his first official music release.
