Heidi Zettl and the Sound Underground release new single 'Tell Me Everything'

Heidi Zettl and the Sound Underground have released their flagship new single, titled, “Tell Me Everything,” to resounding critical and fan acclaim. The new track has been released on the Heidi Zettl and the Sound Underground Records music label. Though the young chanteuse from Arlington, TX released a track under her own name last year, the popular pop-rock single, “Crazy,” this new release “Tell Me Everything” represents the official introduction of her band, the Sound Underground, to the public at large. The Sound Underground are musicians Zach Whitchurch, Angel Trujillo, Cameron Griffin, and Clint Doggett.

“Tell Me Everything” comes as a subtle shift in tonality for Zettl and her band mates from the arpeggios and complexities of “Crazy.” In contrast, “Tell Me Everything” is a mellow, softly flowing song, where “Crazy” had a whirling, intense feel that went well by its title. “Tell Me Everything” is delightfully delicate and showcases Zettl's natural, cool timbre, as well as the good taste and restraint of the Sound Underground in terms of musical composition. It has much in common with “River,” their concurrently released single, and when considered as an early triumvirate of their work, these three tracks are beginning to define the overall character of Heidi Zettl and the Sound Underground as an earnest, heartfelt crew capable of great tenderness and surprising power at the same time.

Continuing the Zettl tradition by being a mature and incredibly accessible single, “Tell Me Everything” stands as yet another proof that Heidi Zettl and the Sound Underground are songsmiths of the highest caliber and artists to watch for in the coming months. Already making waves in the hotbed musical underground of North Texas, Zettl and Co. are quickly crossing borders and reaching audiences as far away as Los Angeles and New York through bustling Internet channels, and their leap to foreign continents seems likewise inevitable.

As “Tell Me Everything” clearly shows, this growing attention is both warranted and well deserved. Heidi Zettl and the Sound Underground aren't going to be underground for much longer.
