Alternative rockers Butterfly on a Bullet release Xmas singles “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The alternative rockers known as Butterfly on a Bullet have released two new seasonal singles, “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night.” The singles come hot on the heels of their debut official release, “Let's Fly,” the first song to be published from their upcoming EP record. Each of these have been published on the CircleXProductions music record label. While the style of “Let's Fly” is entirely different from these two new Christmas tracks, “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night” prove beyond any feasible doubt that Butterfly on a Bullet are musicians of staggering musical ability and impeccable musical taste.

Being a troupe of guitarists, all, Butterfly on a Bullet emphasize their stringed skills in their arrangement of “Silent Night.” The considerable talents that continue to bring popular attention to their “Let's Fly” single emerge in entirely new forms for “Silent Night.”

“We wanted this song to feature the guitarists of Butterfly on a Bullet,” they write. “In fact, the guitar solo in the instrumental is played by our bassist, Chris, rather than our lead guitarist, Will. 'Silent Night' has such a beautiful, soothing melody, and almost sings as a lullabye. We wanted to keep true to this beauty and create a smooth, melodic blend of acoustic and classical guitars, and vocals with simple harmonies.”

These compositional choices bespeak a great, unfeigned refinement on the part of each member of Butterfly on a Bullet, a refinement which appears in all of their recordings but which is a key factor in the clarion beauty of “Silent Night.” As may be apprehended, this finesse is also omnipresent in their rendition of “O Holy Night.”

Butterfly on a Bullet's “O Holy Night” is enrapturing, enthralling, arresting and awe-inspiring. It mainly features Butterfly lead singer, Nicole, which stylistic decision on the part of the band was deliberate and, as the result proves, ingenious.

“She loves to create harmonies and instruments with her voice,” write Butterfly on a Bullet. “With our full-rock sound, we have to compromise on heavy background vocals. If you listen carefully, you can hear them, but we try to make sure they leave room for the other instruments to shine. However, for 'O Holy Night,' we told our lead singer to feature herself. We told her to compose an a capella arrangement in which she sang every part. So she did. She sang what ended up being a total of 168 individual vocal tracks.”

After hours of mixing and adroit studio manipulation (none of which involve disingenuous engineering shortcuts – the performer's skill is clearly masterful) “O Holy Night” appeared in this truly sublime, audibly glowing incarnation.

“We had no idea what to expect,” they write, “and we can’t say we’ve heard anything quite like this before: a classic Christmas song arranged and sung by a choir of one person.”

Indeed, the track is undeniable. Like the great cathedrals in which the song is often sung, it is an example of the very finest art of which humanity has proven capable.

“Silent Night” and “O Holy Night” by Butterfly on a Bullet are available online worldwide.
