FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –
The composer of electronic dance music
known as Movement of Sounds has released his latest LP record album,
titled, “Time and Space.” The album is comprised of 11 original
tracks for an approximate total listening time of nearly a full hour.
The album has been released on the up-and-coming Jojam music records
label. New Movement of Sounds songs included on the record are
“Change,” “Acid Rain,” “Blue Soul,” “Revolution,”
“Blind Fold,” “Lost,” “Time and Space,” “Kathmandu
Bazaar,” “Hold On,” “Among Clouds,” and “Jindhage.” In
addition to the remarkable skills of Movement of Sounds, the “Time
and Space” LP features the added talents of such artists as Meghan
Mckown, Cosmos Ray, and Heather Rose.
Movement of Sounds cites as main
artistic influences such genius musical masterminds as Miles Davis,
Kruder & Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation, Fila Brazillia, and
Gotan Project. Intuitively, the Movement of Sounds repertoire is full
of parallels and sonic likenesses with which their own signature
style can be easily compared.
“Movement of Sounds is musical
journey from East to West and everything in between,” writes
Movement of Sounds with regard to their mode of EDM composition. In
music by Movement of Sounds, they write, “the diverse spectrum of
sound is glued together with a sprinkle of 'dub' elements to paint a
sonic collage.”
Movement of Sounds began music very
young. “I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old,” he
writes. “I played all kinds of music until the day, back in the
'90s, when I got influenced by all the acid jazz bands form England.”
Thus began the trip into a broader,
EDM-hightened consciousness. As a result of the endless possibilities
offered by the genre and a personal set of principles that add
complexity and intellect to the music, Movement of Sounds' new record
revolves around themes of “Positivity, social awareness,
environmental consciousness, dreams, and the wonders of the world.”
They conclude their dedication of the
record by saying, “This album is a tribute to all the
revolutionaries: musicians, artists, scientists, etc., from the last
century.”
“Time and Space” by Movement of
Sounds on the Jojam music label is available online everywhere
beginning 19 November 2013.
