Rockers This Is a Human release new EP 'Almost Lovers'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The rock crew known as This Is a Human (often stylized "This is a Human") have released their debut EP record album, titled, “Almost Lovers.” The album is comprised of six original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 23 minutes. The band themselves classify their music as post- rock, however fans of such genres as alternative, indie, and early emotional hardcore music will likewise be enthusiastic about this arresting, passionate and surprise release from one of the most standout groups late in 2013.

The official This Is a Human Facebook page places their home base in Kaiserslautern, Germany. However, their band bio states very clearly that, “This is a Human is a rock band from different areas of the United States. The band met in Germany while playing in different music ensembles.” The chemistry between the band members is palpable in their sound, and audiophiles everywhere have great reason to rejoice that the artists happened upon one another in Europe at the time.

The sound of This Is a Human is driving, poppy, and full of chord progressions in the major scale. Their sound is highly melodic, upbeat, and often recalls attributes of the Catherine Wheel, Neutral Milk Hotel and Sunny Day Real Estate. Not unlike songs by those artists, their themes are often personal and romantic in nature, as may be intuited from the title of their new EP, and their songs are written in such a way as to maximize the effect of the lyrics. The delivery of their music is consistently high-impact

This Is a Human are Jonathan Johnson (vocals, guitar), Kyle Richardson (guitar), Tyler Goodwin (bass), and Vince Magno (drums).

“Almost Lovers” by This Is a Human is available online worldwide. Get in early, audiophiles.
