The alternative rock crew known as
Butterfly on a Bullet have released their latest official single,
titled, “Let's Fly.” The track has been released on the
CircleXProductions music record label. It is the first globally
distributed official release from Butterfly on a Bullet, and
represents an excellent introduction to this uplifting and remarkable
band for audiophiles everywhere.
Butterfly on a Bullet are a musical
singularity, being one of the world's first popular acts to be formed
from newly acquainted artists on Craigslist.com.
“We were all at the point of
frustration in our careers,” Butterfly writes. “We were searching
for the right people and the right opportunity and we all happened to
be looking on Craigslist at the same time. Our lead singer was a solo
artist. Our lead guitarist was almost out of the military with a
library of music recorded over six tours. Our bassist had just
relocated to our area after his previous band disbanded, and our
drummer was a business and family man searching for an outlet for his
passion.”
Butterfly on a Bullet cites as main
artistic influences such disparate players as Kings of Leon, Taylor
Swift, Maroon Five, Shinedown, and Mariah Carey, as well as the
narrative lyrical styles of Carole King, Bob Dylan and Randy Newman.
Intuitively, their music bears attributes of early '90s alt- rock,
folk music, pop music, modern country and more, all at the same time.
“We all have different individual
influences,” they write of this, “so our combined music is pretty
unique.”
“Let's Fly” by Butterfly on a
Bullet is the first single to be released from their upcoming debut
EP record album, which will showcase five original tracks to their
rapidly growing fan base. In addition to the upcoming EP record, the
band are also rumored to have official Christmas singles prepared for
release in late November of 2013.
