AshThirtyThree releases new LP 'Walk the Streets of My Life'

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The musical trio known as ashThirtyThree have released their long-awaited debut LP record, titled, “Walk the Streets of My Life.” The record is comprised of 13 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 50 minutes, making for a roundly comprehensive introduction to the ashThirtyThree repertoire and sound. A contemporary alternative rock album founded largely on uncanny songwriting and undeniably solid musicianship, “Walk the Streets of My Life” is a legitimate return to the true alternative rock sound and excellent listening from any musical perspective.

AshThirtyThree cite as main artistic influences a broad roster of legends, a list which colors them as finely tuned ears with impeccable musical taste and which explains much of the familiar undertone that graces their signature rock sound. They list (among a great many others): The Cardigans, John Lennon, Robbie Williams, The Verve, Tori Amos, Robert Johnson, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Air, The Grateful Dead, CNSY, REM, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, Pearl Jam, The Cure, The Guess Who, Social Distortion, Bob Marley, and Led Zeppelin. This stew of inspiration results in a sound that recalls the best of such alt-rock favorites as Soul Asylum, the Wallflowers, and the Gin Blossoms, while remaining entirely unique in both texture and timbre.

AshThirtyThree's debut record is autobiographical and its title is intended to be taken literally.

“It’s straightforward truth,” singer Ashley Levy says. “You don’t have to read between the lines.”

Made complete by Jeff Nassi on drums and Kenny Susan on bass and vocals, the rest of their band name comes from numerology.

Their official bio states that, “In Spiritual Numerology, 33 symbolizes the highest spiritual consciousness attainable by the human being. Many pivotal events of recent history have occurred along the 33rd parallel, as well as the two significant UFO events – Roswell and the Phoenix Lights. Lastly, Disneyland, the happiest place on earth, also lies along the 33rd parallel and hosts Club 33, an exclusive private club. Some say the club got its name from the original 33 corporate sponsors of Disneyland – we like to think they knew ashThirtyThree was about to launch it’s debut album!”

Ashley Levy’s solo single, “Come Into Love” won VH1's 2005 Rock Song of the Year.” He has opened for such artists as Macy Gray, The Gin Blossoms, Etta James, Evan Dando (Lemonheads), actor Dennis Quaid and Maria McKee. Levy reached the wild card round on the hit NBC program, “Star Tomorrow,” hosted by award-winning producer, David Foster, who said, “[Levy] is the real thing. He is going to go far. Keep writing songs.”

Drummer Nassi and bassist Susan also bring years of professional musicianship both live and in the studio. They have recorded and performed with many well-known names and have shared the stage with artists such as Chris Isaac, Hootie and the Blowfish, Chicago, Peter Frampton, Leon Russell, Dave Meridith Brooks, Room with A View, It’s a Beautiful Day, Randy Hanson, Magi, Unauthorized Rolling Stones, Mason, Allen Holdsworth, Robert Earl Keen, and others.

“Walk the Streets of My Life” was engineered by Grammy-nominated producer Joel Jaffe (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Kirk Franklin and the Family, Huey Lewis & the News, Gregg Allman Band). Jaffe appears on the record playing guitar, pedal steel guitar and lap steel guitar. Also appearing on the record are Kenny Eamonn Flynn, original keyboardist and musical director from the band and movie, “The Commitments,” and backing vocalist, Omega Rae.”

Fans of alt- rock and rock 'n' roll everywhere have much reason to rejoice in this remarkable, nigh-perfect record.
