FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –
The writer and performer of hip hop
known as Moe Money has released his latest rap single, titled, “Trap
(Bands).” The rap track is the first official single to be released
from Moe Money's full-length LP record album, “Back Across 110th
Street.” The album and single have been hosted by East Harlem's
popular radio personality and urban film producer, DJ Big Stew. In
addition to the sharpened skills and talents of Moe Money, himself,
the single features those of Buck Smooth, as well. The track and LP
mixtape are being published on the Hell Gate Entertainment music
label.
“Trap (Bands)” – often stylized,
“Trap (bands)” – is Moe Money's most significant public release
since his April 2013 mixtape album, “East Side Story.” “East
Side Story” is the official LP record soundtrack to the urban film
of the same name, also directed and produced by DJ Beef Stew. The
official Beef Stew single from “East Side Story,” titled, “Set
It Off” made international headlines throughout the hip-hop
underground following its release. The “East Side Story” mixtape
that included it appeared in February to widespread critical and fan
acclaim. The “East Side Story” mixtape received DatPiff.com's
highly respected Bronze Award. Don Diva Magazine touted the movie as
Don Diva's Urban Film of the Year.
Moe Money and DJ Big Stew's film debut
came in 2012 with their arresting production of “Somebody Got To
Die.” The film has since ushered in a new generation of urban movie
making spearheaded by Beef Stew and Moe Money, themselves. “Somebody
Got to Die” was hailed as the No. 1 underground movie by Don Diva
Magazine. “Back Across 110th Street,” the film which
prominently features the “Trap (Bands)” single by Moe Money, is a
spiritual successor to the 1972 urban film, “Across 110th
Street,” which is considered by many film critics to be one of the
most important and influential movies in the genre.
