Hip-hop mogul Mr.Grimez releases new LP 'Turn My Muzik Up'

The modern legend of the underground hip-hop scene known as Mr.Grimez has released his latest and greatest LP record album, titled, “Turn My Muzik Up.” The album has been released on the FamaJam Music Group music label. It is comprised of a whopping 20 original tracks for a total playing time of exactly two hours, making this comprehensive offering from Mr.Grimez and FamaJam Music a true double-LP record for the price of a standard long-play album.

The top-shelf quality of “Turn My Muzik Up” is impossible to roundly describe, as there is simply so much excellent material on this incredible collection of urban poetry set to beats that no single press release can contain it all. Its drum and bass have all the old-school soul, its melodies are unique and catchy, and its stomping army of rhymes and lines – by far the main attraction – are brilliant, power-packed, and spat with a skill that recalls the legends of old such as Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Tupac Shakur. Chiefly led by rapper, songwriter and producer, Mr.Grimez, “Turn My Muzik Up” also features the various considerable talents of Da Team: Nor'Von Thomas, Jamal Skye, Prince Hall, Young Melvo, Michelle Roze, Jeff Bynum, Simon Temple and B. Dirty.

Mr.Grimez cites as main artistic influences a broad, diverse treatment of music artists, including Linkin Park, Timberland, Metallica, Dr. Dre, AudioSlave, Nirvana, Snoop Dogg, Rage Against the Machine, Tupac, Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi, Lynard Skynard, Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, Kid Rock, Slipknot, OutKast, Ludacris, Black Eyed Peas, Fugees, System of a down, 311, Cypress Hill, Korn, Run DMC, Limp Bizkit, and P.O.D.. With such a myriad sampling of different styles and tones, it is intuitive that “Turn My Muzik Up” should contain elements of each of these genres and sounds. Indeed, the record is a sort of hip-hop kaleidoscope, making use of every musical characteristic imaginable to arrive at a thumping, bumping, often awe-inspiring album.

Malik “Mr.Grimez” Peterkin is the former CEO and president of Famcore Entertainment. He founded FamaJam Music Group in January 2012, and is also the star music producer for Famcore Productions, many of whose artists appear on “Turn My Muzic Up” (The Brew, Jamal Skye, Austin “Mr. Beautiful” Arkeel, Michelle Roze). Before founding FamaJam Music Group, Mr.Grimez was a member of Knut and The Brew, a fusion band of crunk rock and hip hop. The Brew has been played from over one million podcast radios in over 40 countries worldwide.

“Turn My Muzik Up” by Mr.Grimez is available online worldwide.
