The rapper from New Mexico known only
as Regulator has released his latest and greatest LP hip-hop album,
“50 Armed States,” to international critical and fan acclaim. The
album is comprised of 11 new, original tracks for an approximate
total playing time of 43 minutes. It has been released by the
Regulator Recordings, Inc. music label. An intelligent, even
important rap album full of intrigue and true American patriotism,
“50 Armed States” is one of the most thought-provoking and
constructive works of urban poetry ever spat to beats.
As the title of Regulator's record
hints, “50 Armed States” is a work of political commentary.
Populated with songs like “Killuminati,” “Living in a War,”
and “My Dream Is Their Nightmare,” the album is informed by
Regulator's intense and discerning scrutiny of current events. His
direct castigations of social issues and political topics puts him in
the same category of intellectual rap music as Spearhead and the
Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.
“My album is about the fight for
freedom that the government is taking away from the American people,”
writes Regulator of his new record. “Also, I rap on topics like the
economy, my support for the 2nd Amendment [the right to bear arms]
and the ongoing, never-ending war in the Middle East.”
Regulator cites as main artistic
influences the likes of Tupac Shakur, Bone Thugs 'n' Harmony, Tech
N9ne, Hopsin, SPM, UGK, Tha Dogg Pound, Xzibit, Insane Clown Posse,
Easy-E, Notorious B.I.G., Twista, T-Rock, and Snoop Doggy Dogg,
himself (now Snoop Lion).
Regulator has released three
full-length LPs previously: “War Games” (12 April 2012),
“Classified”(25 June 2012), and “Still Smokin”(15 September
2012). He has been featured on the cover of High Times Magazine
(August 2012 issue) with infamous director and producer Oliver Stone,
within which his advertisement for “Classified” appears on pg.
108. Regulator was interviewed on page 36 of Mr. Dreamz Magazine's
summer issue, 2012. Highly visible promos also appear in the South
Park Mexican issue of Latinos Unidos Magazine and the Too Short /
Pimp C issue of Hustlaz Playground Magazine.
Regulator hails from the land of Billy
the Kid, Lincoln County, NM.
