Align in Time releases debut LP 'Me and My Arrow'

The musical performer and composer known as Align in Time has released his debut LP record, “Me & My Arrow,” to widespread enthusiasm and glowing reviews. The album is comprised of eight original tracks for an approximate total playing time of 36 minutes. An atmospheric, experimental rock record that brings together many elements of many various genres, “Me & My Arrow” by Align in Time is one of the most unique and creative albums to be released this year, and one that audiophiles everywhere should be sure not to miss.

“Me & My Arrow” is an instrumental LP record that narrates the autobiography of its artist entirely without words. It is explosively evocative, vibrantly colorful, and has as much texture and complexity as the very best classical compositions. Having been produced by Bryan Russell (Coldplay, Straylight Run), it is the solo-project masterpiece of a single mind whose given name for this release is only Align in Time.

Align in Time cites as main artistic influences a broad (but very specific) spread of musicians and songwriters.

“I’m influenced by everything,” writes Align in Time, “from my favorite bands (Goo Goo Dolls, The Receiving End of Sirens, Taking Back Sunday) to film scores (Harry Gregson-Williams, Alan Menken, John Williams, Clint Mansell) to classical music (Steve Reich, Henryk Gorecki, J.S. Bach).”

The crossroads of all these musical styles is precisely where “Me & My Arrow” lies, albeit with a personal flair that bespeaks its extremely personal nature. Regarding this nature, Align in Time politely declines to comment in detail, preferring to leave interpretations up to his listeners. He does, however, offer the following paragraph, faithfully reproduced here in its entirety:

“The message of 'Me & My Arrow' is one of optimism in the wake of tragedy. I have chosen not to share too much of my personal back story, because I believe anyone can listen to the album and apply it to the loss and hardship they experience in their own lives. I hope that it encourages a hopeful outlook on life, one that realizes that even the worst things can, in time, become an essential positive part of who you are and how you view the world. It plays somewhat like a film score, with recurring themes and an overall narrative arc that ties the songs together.”

The album is not short on reviews (all of them ravingly positive) and Align in Time's fan base is more burgeoning with every passing day. It behooves audiophiles everywhere to grab a copy as soon as possible and give it the listen it very richly deserves. In other words, now is the time, music fans – get in early.

“Me & My Arrow” by Align in Time is available online everywhere.
